  5. This is great news for the club and for Sam. He’s been solid for us in goal and deserves a new deal. He’s also a nice guy and a leader in the team. Well done Sam!
  6. I am very interested to see who will extend their stay. I hope all of the players do, but there are a couple who could be replaced quite easily, I feel. There are two or three who would be trickier to replace and suit our style of football. Jodi Jones staying on would be helpful. The released players seemed destined for this list.
  7. If the club can secure Jodi Jones on a permanent basis, it would be a very good signing. The intent behind such a move could also help attract other players to come in. When players consider signing with Notts, I wonder if they feel more inclined to do so because of how we’ve turned the tide. I can imagine it was difficult in our first season in the National League.
  8. As a midfielder for Notts County, Matt Palmer has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and ability. His remarkable talent for finding space on the pitch sets him apart from other players. At Wembley against Chesterfield, Palmer’s performance was outstanding and truly showcased his abilities. He consistently delivers what is required of a midfielder and his contributions to the team are invaluable.
  9. As for Macaulay Langstaff, it’s difficult to say whether he will leave or not. He may have settled down with Notts and be content to stay. Only time will tell. I hope that we can get at least a few more seasons out of him before he moves on.
  10. It’s always worthwhile for Notts to be asked about, even if the questions may seem repetitive. Everyone will inevitably ask the same questions due to the excitement surrounding Wembley and the prospect of gaining promotion.
  11. Chris, on your special day, I hope you are surrounded by love and joy. Happy Birthday!
  12. I only have knowledge that Ryan Reynolds is a Hollywood actor and co-owner of Wrexham AFC. Despite not being familiar with his movies or acting career, I appreciate that someone in his position takes the time to give credit and show respect. That earns him a place in my good books.
  13. The club’s return to the Football League is a huge achievement and one that brings immense pride to the fans. The transformation of the club under the leadership of Christoffer Reedtz, Alexander Reedtz, and Jason Turner has been remarkable and bodes well for the future.
  14. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Sunday! Notts fans have earned a trip to Wembley. After being disappointed in the playoffs and with COVID causing disruptions, a win and a final away day would be a fantastic lift for all involved. Boreham Wood will no doubt have the same hopes, but I believe our squad is strong enough to emerge victorious.
  15. @DangerousSausage is known for consistently posting good and thoughtful comments. He has a great sense of humour and puts a lot of effort into his posts, just like everyone else. That’s where my vote is going.
  16. It’s refreshing to see someone like Ryan Reynolds show such class and sportsmanship in wishing Notts County all the best. It’s a shame that not everyone can display this level of graciousness. Well to him for setting a positive example.
  17. I only feel disappointed with managers when they publicly name the players they are criticizing. Luke Williams is seeking a response, and that is why many managers have different styles. You have to trust their judgement and hope for the best.
  18. If Notts fails to get promoted, then I would say it only benefits clubs who are seeking a potential goalscorer. He might give us another season, and the club might sell him to reinvest. There's no guarantee that he won't be sold if we do gain promotion to League Two. Just as we can only speculate that he will want to move if we don't. Nobody knows, but I think it's likely that we may get a bit longer, like a season and a half. From there, I wouldn't like to say, but he's a good player, and I can see him being an asset to any team from League One to the Championship. He might make it to the Premier League, but I can't see him making that move without further proving himself first.
  19. The Football League has moved with the times, my dear chap, in order to keep up with the Premier League. Now it is the turn of the National League to catch up with the Football League, but unfortunately, it is managed by people who are not very competent. I fear that it will take several years before any changes are made to the league structure. They will be hoping that Notts does not go up with Wrexham because then they will lose the spotlight, and the league will become average again.
  20. I have narrowed down my choices to three players, and I will decide after Saturday's game which one of them will receive my vote. I believe it's mainly between two of the three, but I am not ready to vote yet. I think whoever wins it will be deserving, and for once, it won't be a one-sided affair.
  21. I wish the club wouldn't publish brief and rushed content like what they put out on the official site. I appreciated reading this article for the reasons I previously stated. I have reduced my selection to three players, and I will make my decision after Saturday's match on which one will receive it.
  22. In the first half, I don't reckon either side played all that bad. To be fair, Woking didn't truly get on top of Notts. It seemed that both teams took a bit of time to feel each other out. They tried to be more direct using their number 14 to create chances. We were more patient on the ball, but I still feel that Notts had the best chances of both halves. They didn't seem to cause much trouble on goal. I can't recall them having any real chances of concern. Now, this may be my memory playing tricks on me at my age, but I reckon both teams gave a good account of themselves. It just took Notts a little longer to bring out their true class. Once the first goal went in, it was good night Woking. They didn't stand a chance against Notts County's superior skills. Overall, it was a decent match, and I enjoyed watching it.
  23. @Dry Nelson Ray, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham! We are thrilled to have you join our community and hope that you will find this to be a warm and welcoming place.
  24. Although Scunthorpe United may appear to be an easy target, the reality is often more complex. This season's football has been more aesthetically pleasing, but the team performs better when they avoid attempting to pass the ball into the net. Luke Williams, therefore, must communicate a clear message to his players to remain focused on the game and avoid receiving unnecessary yellow cards, regardless of the available options.
  25. A win for Notts could make all the difference right now, if the players work hard enough and want it. It should be enough to get it across the line, Yeovil are nowhere near as good as they have been in the past.
