  1. Samson Tovide does appear to possess genuine talent, to be honest. All of these players are incredibly worth mentioning. Arthur Read and Joe Taylor, in particular, were outstanding. However, I do not believe they show enough consistency to be deemed a contender for the playoffs, even if they achieve further positive outcomes. This is primarily due to their woeful performance in defence.
  2. Hello, @Niederbayern Pie. Welcome to PON. Glad you're here.
  3. Hello, @Middlesex Magpie. Welcome to PON. Have a laugh and join in.
  4. Hello, @Morten Johansen. PON is mixed from young to older, you don't need to be an expert on Notts either. None of us are.
  5. I believe we should take a moment to reflect on our defensive performance. There are times when we don't appear to be strong in that area, whether it's due to a lack of focus or other factors. It's crucial that we acquire another centre-back who can bolster our defense instead of bringing in loan players who won't see much playing time. I'm confident that this was just one of those games and that we can bounce back.
  6. Luke Williams understands! Hopefully, everything goes according to plan, and our team makes us proud. Colchester won't be an easy opponent, as not many teams are, but we have to believe that we are capable enough to maintain our strong start. It all boils down to effective game management.
  7. It's getting close now, and I just want Notts to perform well. I believe David McGoldrick could make a significant impact for us.
  8. It's not as easy as Notts has made it look. Luke Williams is right to give the teams we face their credit and acknowledge the difficulty they bring. That shows a lot of focus and respect, so going into the game, it should help us to focus on our own performance.
  9. Aidan Stone deserved the clean sheet, and I'm pleased he has achieved it. The team's performance was commendable, as we maintained control of the game in both halves. Macaulay Langstaff displayed great effort, although he could have possibly scored another goal. Although their goalkeeper made some impressive saves, it wasn't sufficient to change the outcome. Our team is showing great promise and performing exceptionally well.
  10. Salford can be a strong team if given the opportunity to take control of the game or capitalise on chances. However, if not given these opportunities, they tend to be rather ordinary. At their current skill level, they aren't quite ready for League One, so I view them more as a potential contender for the playoffs, and ideally a team that Notts should be able to beat. Nevertheless, football can be unpredictable, and since they're playing at home, it could really go either way on the day.
  11. I'm puzzled as to why they're interested in Max Power. He doesn't strike me as someone who'd be widely recognised in households, and the transfer only seems logical from his perspective. I just can't fathom why they've chosen to sign him or why they were interested in the first place.
  12. They had a centre midfield player who worked very hard, helping a lot in their game. Sadly, I didn't catch his name. Also, he looked like he could get really good, so it's worth watching how he grows over time.
  13. It's nice to see Notts top of the table so early on, our form has picked up and the team are doing very well. They have shown great consistency and quality in their performances, and they deserve to be in the promotion race. I agree, being closer to the top will make teams want to beat us more and that getting carried away could lead to disappointment. We should not take anything for granted and keep working hard. I am just enjoying now, see where it takes but being top is special. It gives us confidence and pride, and it makes us dream of better things.
  14. Notts performed well enough to win, it wasn't a fluke or due to opposition being poor. Accrington Stanley played well with their own right and made a game of it, they were organised and determined, and they created some chances. I felt disappointed when they scored because I honestly didn't think they would and it was a poor goal from our perspective to concede. They exploited our weakness in defence, and they took advantage of our lapse in concentration. They did well to get the goal, but I do think they settled at that point for a draw. They did not push for a second goal, and they seemed happy with a point.
  15. Good signing, but it is silly money. Spurs could get two players for that and if they recruited well, they could make a bigger impact. They have spent a lot of money on one player who might not fit in their system or their league. I hope he does well, but fees like this are ruining the game. They create unrealistic expectations and pressure, and they widen the gap between the rich and the poor clubs.
  16. I think it's okay, but I did hope for more experience. He is a young player who has not played much at this level, and he might need some time to adapt. It doesn't mean his energy won't benefit us and I'm not being negative. I hope he does well and proves himself as a valuable addition. He has potential and talent, and he could learn a lot from the other players.
  17. When I'm old enough and I have a job, I will support PON by donating. I think it's a very well ran website and deserves the support. It provides quality content and analysis, and it fosters a friendly community of fans. I know my parents like it, but they just read or comment on social media. Good luck, Chris. You are doing a great job with PON, and I appreciate your efforts.
  18. I believe that we all have the ability to persevere, even if the outcome is not in our favour. It’s not a failure if you can move forward. I concur that some football fans can be excessively critical, but thankfully, such behaviour is not exhibited here. While I admit to being critical at times, I believe that it can be constructive and positive, as long as it is done with sincerity and in a healthy manner.
  19. I sincerely hope that he is alright, as the injury appeared to be quite severe. Scott could barely walk off the field. He has been an exceptional team player and his absence will be felt, but I am confident that the team will persevere.
  20. The current form of both teams is impressive, and they have a lot at stake if they do not emerge victorious. Notts must exercise caution and dictate the tempo of the game. Accrington is a formidable opponent, but so are we. I have a premonition that the match will end in a draw.
  21. Luke Williams has got the players to lift themselves, we can be more creative and that will help with chances on goal. I agree with his statement, it makes sense and I am thankful for the acknowledgement of support during games.
  22. Good, we need to be filing spaces with young players eventually. If they can't come in or get chance, then I wonder when we will ever get our own players involved.
  23. I would have had him back, he took Notts up with his penalty saves and he will always be welcomed back for that. I hope he does well at Gateshead.
  24. I am 13, I would never abuse a player verbally. I get fed up of seeing older fans act so immature and childish. I try not to listen to them, I hope the players don't listen too.
  25. I hope some closer to his age or younger comes in, the club was starting to become trendy and fashionable. Youngsters connect to people who aren't always so serious. I will miss, Charlie Slater.
