Match Discussion: Game 14 - The Gills (A)
You have to pay online, so don't forget! It's slightly cheaper if you set an account up, but you would need to use it regularly as I think you need to deposit £10, Mind you that doesn't expire, so you could use it when we play West Ham and Crystal Palace in the Premiership in a few years time!!. You could also wait until 10pm, then it's free!! That leaves plenty of time to celebrate!

Match Discussion: Game 14 - The Gills (A)
I hope Bostock is OK. We lose a lot when he doesn't play, especially the calm and leadership that he brings to the side. Jones and Cameron are also important, and I feel our chances decrease if either or both of those are missing too. I think it will be a tough old game and I would be surprised if we come away with any more than a draw. I really hope that a defeat doesn't cause unrest and if it does, it really speaks more about the fans than the team. It's my local game and my partner brought the whole family (mainly West Ham fans) tickets for my birthday, so I can't wait.

The move to electric cars ...higher insurance costs!
I have a Hyundai EV and love it even though the range is only a shade over 120 miles (it forces me to take breaks, but long journeys become very long). I am about to get a new car thanks to work. I looked long and hard at a Tesla, but I couldn't do it for all the reasons above plus I don't like Elon Musk.

Ed Davey’s a Pie?
You were probably a year above me - Iain Cousins, A brother of my friend was in JD, much to my amusement as my friend was looking forward to a year or so without his younger brother in tow when he joined the Senior School.

I like the one where he is trying to stop the Man City fans getting into the dressing room with a scalpel! I really like that book, it's well worth a read if you haven't yet.

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Green (H)
The thing is Horseman is trying to protect his job. They went through 3 managers before him since this time last year. They were relegated and now find themselves at the foot of the table, so he must be feeling the pressure. I think that interview was more about asking the chairman for a bit more time as it was a genuine analysis of the game.

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Green (H)
I hope the fans are OK. I didn't see the ambulance leave (it was still there towards the end), so hopefully that is a good sign. I think we would have learned a lot from that game. Last year at 2-0 we would have just lifted the foot off the gas a little and still run out 3 or 4 winners. My feeling is that old habits kicked in and we tried to do the same on Saturday, Like at Sutton we showed that if we are only 98% on it we lose control of the game. On the flip side the way we reacted to going 2 -2 showed to me that we had gears to go up whenever we wanted. Even when they got their 3rd I thought we would win, because when we wanted to, we could pull them apart. FGR also upped their game at the start of the second half which seemed to catch us off guard and we lost momentum. I don't think we give FGR enough credit for coming back at us like they did. Their pressing at the start of the second half really stretched us and stopped us getting going. I think this pressure forced some of the defensive mistakes. When we were on top, their defence made as many mistakes as ours, I think that was the nature of the game. I'm not saying our defence is perfect or don't have mistakes in them, but I don't think they were solely culpable for the goals, and maybe the it wasn't individual errors as such, but a systemic issue and we need to learn to be able to be more resilient under pressure (something we didn't get a lot of experience of last season). I don't think there will be many opportunities to rest in game as there were last year, so I think we will see more of the squad players as the season progresses. I thoroughly enjoyed the game. My next game is likely to be at Gillingham (it is just up the road from me).

Healthy Living: Balancing Nutrition, Exercise, and Self-Care
I'll join in. Five years ago I was quite fit - running 89minute half marathon, 18 1/2 minute 5km etc. Then I got injured falling over and wrecked my ankle. 4 years later I was 95kg, so I signed up for the Rob Burrow marathon in Leeds and although I finished some 1hour 40 minutes slower than my previous marathon attempt I did it. Unfortunately I didn't really lose a lot of weight getting down to 88kg, so now I am planning on a few Half Marathons next year to try and get back to around 1:35 ish.... so I need to lose weight. I am currently 92kg (another injury) so I have a hill to climb. My target is 75ish kg for 'The Big Half' at the start of September next year (it will be too hot for me to do 'the time' that will need to wait for 2025). Here goes!!

Weekend Plans Friday 22nd -Sunday 24th Sept
I was at the game with my partner, sister, brother in law and nephew. What a game. Notts and our fans are winning my partner over (she previously hated football). The play is exciting and the fans are really funny and the chants are all in great humour. We loved the Sutton game for that reason too. After we had a take away with my sister, then yesterday made our way back to Thanet. It was a great weekend.

Surely they don't need glasses to find the ball. They just needed to look in the back of their net!

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Green (H)
I think our possession based approach will make it tough for anyone to compete. I think FGR are fragile and if we dominate possession as we can, score early then it could be an avalanche (hopefully). If FGR gain in confidence then I think it could be closer, but I still hope for a stylish win for us. I'm coming up from East Kent, so I really hope so!!
