  1. Without Palmer and JoB we will be very light in the CM area. I hope Bostock is back and Gosling is up to speed enough to start. That will allow Austin to move out to left WB to cover for Jodi. My line up would be: Slocombe Macari Cameron Baldwin Namane Austin ( Randall) Bostock (Austin) Gosling (Tipton) Crowley McGoldrick Macca Bench: Stone, Brindley, TAR, Randall (Chicksen), Tipton(Gosling), Morias I'm not sure that will be enough though, as we could end up with a defensive centre midfield paring of Austin and Tipton; Austin isn't comfortable in DCM and Tipton is largely untried. I would be happier with Bostock and Gosling even if the it is only for 60 minutes or so. It's a tricky one and I think it will be close.
  2. At some point, probably in the medium term, he is going to leave. That is just football fact and I think we should embrace it. If Notts keep performing and improving then bigger and bigger clubs will be interested and one will be too good an opportunity to turn down. The good thing is though, if that does happen we will be in a much better place than we were, and the longer it takes to happen, the better our position will be. As a result we should be able to attract more experienced managers and better players. I have every confidence that our recruitment team have contingencies for when he (or any of our key staff) leave, and we will be fine (and quite possibly kick on again). I would say that Williams is an improvement on Burchnall partly because of the foundation Burchnall had left, and I think the same will be true when Williams leaves. So, I am really pleased he is staying as I think he has unfinished business and is an excellent coach, but I wouldn't be too despondent when he does move on, as we will be fine and we will continue to progress.
  3. Nothing too arduous here. Spending time in sunny Canterbury probably, trying to keep my partner's spirits up as she is undergoing chemo at the moment and it is getting her down. That will probably involve a trip to the cinema at some point... or a couple of trips. Other than that, following the match as best I can and doing some running training.

  6. In the press conference he repeatably puts the story to bed. He must have been asked 4 or 5 times at least, in different ways. It seems @TheSkipper that your friend's dad's mate was on the money... make sure you keep in touch just in case????!!

  14. You could loan the club money which makes a loss and then charge the club to use your data company. You could then offset some of the tax made by Radar through the loses at Notts. I think the only really works if Radar was registered in a low tax jurisdiction, but I seem to recall that Pavis used to make money out of Notts whilst they were losing money year on year. If I recall correctly he used to charge the catering company a peppercorn rent for the facilities, who then charged their services back to the club at top rates. I believe his wife owned the catering company. You couldn't blame them if they were.
  15. Wordle 871 4/6 ???? ???????? ???????? ???????????????????? Standard
  16. I wonder how much we contributed to that.
  17. 4. 'nuff said. Wordle 870 4/6 ???????????? ???????????? ???????????????? ????????????????????
  18. That's a blow, but good news the club are already looking at options. Interesting that free agents are being looked at.
  19. I'll be making my daughter her 18th birthday cake, and then leaving her and her friends to party tomorrow night. Sunday will be some repairs on my partners washing machine. Hopefully I'll get a run or two in too. A steady weekend.
  20. Today's score is... Wordle 867 4/6 ???? ???????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? 4!! (Thanks to my daughter who came in and solved the conundrum in a few seconds!!)
  21. Surely if he's not in the squad for the weekend it just means he isn't in the team for an FA Cup game that we may or may not be taking seriously. I think the Crewe game will be more telling, but even then it only means that the injury isn't totally trivial. Bostock has been out for 4 or 5 weeks, there is nothing to suggest Palmer would not be similar. The fact is, until someone says what the injury is and how bad it is, we won't know. I think the only one we have been given any idea on is Bajrami, even Scott is out for the rather vague 'foreseeable future'.
  22. Any ideas what the problem is/was?
  23. Apparently for the Crewe game. The Pizza Cup could be an issue as we have to play so many 1st team players.
  24. I was there that day... in the home end! The stands emptied after we scored (both times if I recall). The first time nobody noticed that me, dad and mum hadn't moved, the second time we were well and truly spotted. Luckily dad always looked about 70 so after a few insults they left us alone. I have never felt so scared...even when I lost it in the home end at Birmingham City in 1989 / 90 when we scored a last minute winner wasn't as bad. To be fair they saw the funny side of it,,, something the Chelsea fans could never have been accused of.
  25. Ahh.. that doesn't look great does it?
