  1. Hello, @Nay123. Welcome to PON.
  2. Hello, welcome from me @Jones10. Get involved with PON.
  3. I am pleased that the new CEO has finally been announced and appointed. I wish him well and hope he considers Meadow Lane as his second home.
  4. I look forward to the break from football, but after a few weeks, I start to crave the distraction. I haven’t been up to much, just work and reading about Notts. The pre-season is always a good time to gauge how other fans feel. Football provides a break from the working week, a sense of release, and something to look forward to.
  5. This is simply the club attempting to secure the most favourable deal for themselves in order to maximise profits. Once this agreement concludes, we will likely return to Carlsberg or another sponsor. The club has a history of switching sponsors whenever the contract is up for renewal.
  6. If you attend this friendly, please report back with your thoughts on the trialists and in general. I don’t mind what Luke Williams decides to do, but with players getting more minutes, it looks as if he’s pushing for his first team to gain the match fitness we need for the Sutton game
  7. I wasn’t at the match, so I’m hoping more supporters here will share their opinions on him. It does seem strange that we would have a player on trial who signed a deal with Wolves not long ago for 5 years. It must be a loan, right?
  8. In my opinion, this is a good move. He should receive an increase in wages, and if he performs well, even if he stays in Turkey for the duration of his contract, teams back in England should take notice. He will undoubtedly have options.
  9. I hope Sochaux can survive their financial issues. It is terrible to see so many clubs suffering.
  10. Nathan Claxton looked impressive. He was one of the trialists that I thought could do a job with Notts. I am not sure if he played against Telford, but hopefully, he is still around.
  11. It is disheartening to see teams struggle, and the suffering that Southend is experiencing seems never-ending.
  12. Michael Doyle would be a good fit for Portsmouth. If he works hard and retains his role, there is no reason why he cannot become an assistant manager again. However, he should take the time to refine his skills to increase his chances.
  13. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Michael D P.
  14. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @stutheumpire1862.
  15. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @rohan.
  16. It's very reassuring to hear about the ongoing process in such detail. Preseason training is a nerve-wracking time for both the players and fans, with nagging injuries and worries about fitness levels. Luke Williams’ in-depth description gives me confidence that our players are in good hands. The delicacy with which minor injuries are being handled shows that the welfare of the players is of uppermost importance and no unnecessary risks are being taken.
  17. I suppose we will have to see how the players react. Many of them have not played at League Two level before, so we are going to need the experience and the whole squad to work hard. Adam Chicksen, having experience at this level, will need to continue his performances from last season. It will be interesting to see how it pans out over the course of the season.
  18. This does sound like a very good signing for Solihull Moors. Good luck to Joss Labadie there.
  19. One or two may have a bright future for Notts; we will have to see how they all do. I like what I have seen of Cisse; he looks like a good player and will hopefully come through to the first team given the chance.
  20. It’s a shame and it is sad to see Charlie Slater move on. I thought he became better with each season and I wished we could have had a few more years of the Slater/Stall banter.
  21. The thing that annoys me is that it’s solely to accommodate Salford, with no consideration given to Notts or us fans. It’s a decision that reeks of biased politics within the Football League. I would like to see the EFL explain how this benefits everyone other than them and why it’s fair. They wouldn’t be able to, and for transparency, I think they should.
  22. Mick Vinter started his career at Boston United before signing for Notts as a youngster. I think that’s a good start to this.
  23. Best Signing: Jodi Jones Highest Goal Scorer: Macca Most Improved Player of the Season: Richard Brindley Most Starts in the Season: Matt Palmer Best partnership between two players: Matt Palmer and Dan Crowley
  24. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Kevin May. I have to say its very good here.
  25. Hello, @Bryn Roberts. It's a good site here, welcome!
