  1. It seems highly likely that there won’t be much change. We might alter formations during games, but it appears that the starting approach will be what we’re familiar with. This makes sense as it provides Notts with ample space to advance. I just hope we limit the number of times we attempt to play out from the back. It’s not productive when nerves kick in and teams capitalise on this. I’m confident that Stuart Maynard will improve things defensively.
  2. Hello, welcome to the site @Michelle Evans. I wish you well and hope that you join in with us when you have the time to visit.
  3. Hello, @Thomas Cotton. Welcome! I wish you all the best and hope to see you join in.
  4. Fantastic photos, indeed. However, if any have been edited, they should be properly acknowledged. The primary focus should be on photos that are naturally captured and processed. Quite a few of them look superb, some appear to be edited, and others don’t seem to have been taken by a camera at all.
  5. It’s a promising result for the women’s Notts team. It seems they just need to be a bit more precise with their goal attempts. Time will help them improve this aspect. Well done to them.
  6. It’s distressing to hear about Nuneaton. I was at the pre-season friendly and donated to the man who walked around the ground several times during the match. Even then, it seemed quite grim as some of their fans made remarks about the difficulties their club was facing.
  7. We should be grateful to the Reedtz for their efforts. Instead of striving for promotion, they could be focusing on cost-cutting measures and reducing the annual debt, which they will likely write off once they sell the club. Their attention could be more on achieving financial stability to the point where we are just average, but they are savvy businessmen who understand that ambition and success come with ongoing costs. I’m not worried, it’s quite common in football. If we managed to get £38k for Ian Burchnall, I hope Luke Williams was sold for a lot more.
  8. Every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday morning, I go for a run that lasts about 2 to 3 miles. I also visit the gym after work on Wednesdays to stay fit. Regardless of the circumstances, I maintain this routine because it helps me stay focused.
  9. Thanks! Everyone, it's most kind of you all to welcome me.
  10. The ground crew will have inspected some areas and replaced the covers. The lamps will help to lower the risk of frost ruining the match, but the rain could cause more problems. It all hinges on how steady and how quick it falls. Notts has a solid history of handling much worse conditions than the current ones in recent years. I’m not too worried about the match being cancelled.
  11. No, I’ve never been interested in other clubs. My family are all Notts County fans and I’ve been going to games for many years. Notts were the first team I watched live and because of that, and it being my first experience of football, I find watching it on TV lacks atmosphere. Plus, the commentators these days tend to be annoying. So, no second team for me.
  12. Stuart Maynard seems like a good appointment on paper. Everything about him suggests that he can fit right into the club and carry on where Luke Williams left off, with help from Jim O’Brien. He speaks well, and I don’t think I’ll get tired of listening to him. But he’s not quite on Luke’s level, is he? I’ll miss that but I’m looking forward to hearing more from Stuart.
  13. Whatever’s happening at Forest Green Rovers, it’s a mess. I don’t get why they would appoint Troy Deeney. It’s disappointing that he was sacked so soon.
  14. I think the show’s been quite good so far, but the tasks could be better. More mystery would make it more interesting. The players are all different, and some of the better ones left early. Some traitors were easy to spot but they’ve managed to vote off those who suspected them. I can see two players who are out of the spotlight trying to set up the lad who everyone supports by making others doubt him.
  15. The main point is that we had someone like Jim O’Brien who could step in when needed. We can trust him, even though some fans think he should retire and say things about him that aren’t needed. It’s good for the club to have someone like him who’s willing to do whatever it takes. This article really shows what kind of person Jim is. It’s not about him, it’s about the club. He’s not picking his friends, he’s doing what he thinks is best for Notts County. That’s something to admire.
  16. This is a great step for Notts, as Tiernan Brooks needs experience in English football. No disrespect to the standard of Ireland, but the level of the National League is consistent enough with what we might anticipate. It’s far better than seeing talent dispatched to teams in the North or South League or lower.
  17. Jodi Jones is a fantastic talent to observe, he always seemed exceptional during his time at Coventry. Whenever we faced them, he would tear us apart and now that he’s at Meadow Lane, it’s just thrilling to see how he performs.
  18. Delighted to see this! I believe these new additions will significantly contribute to transforming the Notts County Women’s team into a powerhouse. The setup is worth investing in, with coaches to maximise the potential of young talent in local areas.
  19. Tough luck for them, a 1-0 loss isn’t a terrible outcome and I’m confident the Notts women will bounce back with a determination to rise in the league.
  20. Hello, @Harry Buckley. The Magpies is a family club and you will love being a part of it. Welcome to PON.
  21. Thank you for all the warm welcome messages. I’m thrilled to be part of such a friendly Notts community.
  22. Ben Barclay was on loan with us in 2019, then he joined Stockport County in 2021. He had two loan periods at Yeovil and Carlisle before he became a permanent player for Carlisle United.
  23. I’d rather see Richard Brindley start ahead of Connell Rawlinson, but apart from that, I think the lineup looks good. I have no problem with the team Jim O’Brien chose for the match against Grimsby Town. As the match is at home, Notts should perform better defensively. Even though Stockport County could be tougher than Mansfield Town, I believe Notts will step up to the challenge and deliver a strong performance. Regardless of the outcome, I expect the match to be closely contested. We should have beaten them at their ground.
  24. The scandal at the Post Office is a shocking tale. Fujitsu should take responsibility, pay up, and let this matter finally come to a close. They share as much blame as anyone else. It’s unacceptable to ruin people’s lives over software errors and expect it to reflect positively on your company.
  25. I have a Samsung Z Fold2, an Android mobile. I’ve owned it since roughly 2021, having acquired it shortly after its launch. My network provider is EE and I don’t intend to upgrade until the phone requires replacement.
