  1. I sit in the Pavis and do wish that the crowd would get a little more involved sometimes with the singing etc but no one around me seems to be negative, I think the signs for 'Maynard out' last season were coming from sections of the Kop as far as I remember
  2. Why wasn't the EFL highlights programme on this past Saturday (7th Sept)? I know there was the international break but league 2 still played and some games in league 1.
  3. I am sure he must be a good player, but did we need another midfielder? Alongside Robertson, Hinchy, Grant, Austin, Edwards, Crowley and Palmer?
  4. I would definitely like to see Tsaroulla start, as I thought he was very impressive. I would like Robertson and Plamer to start in midfield but going by what Maynard had said Previously, I think Palmer will being coming on as sub for a few more games before he starts. I would also quite like to see Gordon start, where I am not sure, but maybe as right wingback, Tsaroulla at left wingback, Platt, Bedeau and Macari across the back, with Jones sat between the midfielders and the forwards.
  5. Nick Tsaroulla put in a great shift from when he came on. Moving forwards, good runs, passing and tackles. First I have seen of him and was very impressed. Great to see Matty Palmer back!
  6. I thought the ticker on the app was good during the Shrewsbury game. Better than the Google live score, as the timeline on that only provides updates on goals, cards and substitutions, where as, the ticker on the Notts app is more detailed and provides updates more regularly.
  7. It would be very sad to see Crowley go to. He is a key player, we can't just keep selling players as soon as another club is interested. I think as someone else said, maybe Notts now need to concentrate on offering new contracts and retaining some key players like Crowley and Jones, maybe even at the expense of bringing in any new players at this time.
  8. I didn't think the line up was that bad and unfortunately there will be many times that you cannot play your strongest team especially with such a small squad. I wouldn't have gone with Slocombe in goal, but other than, that with quite a few injuries, what can you do, could have perhaps made some changes earlier and it is disappointing, considering the start Notts got off to, but it was a draw against a league 1 team, only decided by penalties. I don't think Maynard can take all the blame, the players are the guys on the pitch and are professional footballers, but none the less, ultimately a disappointing result and was hoping for better.
  9. Gutted, with such a thin squad, surely we shouldn't be getting rid of any more players, only bringing more in.
  10. Bit saddened that the programmes are stopping, used to always like getting a programme. More recently have just purchased them for particular games but I suppose the demand just isn't there anymore.
  11. Is the orange one just plain? Or is there a subtle pattern to it?
  12. If it is Dajaune Brown, what do we think to him, is he any good? I don't know anything about him other than connections to Derby and Gateshead.
  13. Not sure if the query about whether Notts would charge fans on match day to enter The Nest has already been answered. Butbi collected my season ticket today and on the leaflet that comes with it, it states "we're excited to offer the Nest as a best in class pre and post match destination. Access is from Ironmonger Road and entry is free.
  14. I was feeling more positive about the season but following the recent pre season performances and results I am not as confident. I thought the defence had been strengthened but we have conceded quite a few goals in the last few games, some late on and own goals which is worrying. Alongside this, goals are generally not seeming as easy to come by. Last season we scores a lot and conceded a lot, arw we now going to conceded a lot and not score as many? I was hoping that Scott would start to make his mark and get his name on the score sheet but this hasn't happened although Jatta and Didzy have now scored a few, which is good, but as others have stated I would like to see the introduction of another striker as another option.
  15. I am a bit loss for words. I know these are only pre season games but I really thought we would look al ot stronger defensively and we would have had more consistent results through the pre season, and by this stage, we would have been winning at least the last two games against York and Boston. Currently feeling a little unsure about the season ahead. Hopefully it is just down to the changes and taking a little time to gel as a unit.
