  1. Robbie started following YoopEyes
  2. I’ve gone for Jatta but 2 minutes before he scored the first there were at least a couple of others in the frame. Ness was superb, won his challenges, dominated in the air and looked solid. Robertson was also superb, effectively disrupts the opposition but acts as an attacking catalyst too. He linked well with Grant, particularly in the 1st half. Overall, we had to battle and scrap - and persevered without ever looking vulnerable at the back. Gritty & determined performance - Paterson has instilled some real steel and discipline/concentration into the ranks.
  3. Great result after a fairly dour and frustrating struggle. Thought Robbo & Grant showed some lovely touches, flicks and challenges - we could have lost impetus when they went off but we kept going and Dennis & Iorpenda provided similar spark. Jatta & Dennis actually looked comfortable in tandem. Ness had the tricky task of coming on to replace McDonald and he certainly stepped up to the plate. Never put a foot wrong and won everything in the air. Cambridge were big, ugly & crude - no wonder they don’t score many goals! Excellent 3 points. Move on, next business.
  4. At least it’s a fairly swift response and an acknowledgement that there has been a major foul up here. Let’s see what happens.
  5. No complaints re: starting XI, but Dennis remains unlucky/unfortunate to be on the bench in my view. Let’s have this Notts. COYP.
  6. This looks like an ill thought out and badly misjudged decision. Even if HG’s family were consulted or not. The Haydn Green legacy is part of the Club’s history and heritage. Without him, there would have been no NCFC. To remove his name, and not even acknowledge him in the official statement is an own goal of enormous proportions. A large chunk of the fan base know how important the man was and how significant his name is in our Club. The stand will always be the Haydn Green stand to me. No amount of sponsorship should wipe away part of the fabric and culture of the Club. It must be feasible to balance the two - I know how important revenue is but you can’t sacrifice everything at the altar of sponsorship. It’s like selling your soul. I’m one of many, I suspect, who are disappointed and concerned by this decision.
  7. Another tough test - but a victory would be a morale and confidence booster. We do seem to be making progress and if our play off, or better, aspirations are to be realised then we need to be winning at home as often as possible. Following on from a good point at Swindon, you have to fancy us to come out on top on Sat. COYP.
  8. Hard earned point - close to winning it, maybe should have done but battling display. They are a very solid, industrious side, no disgrace tbh.
  9. Unfortunate goal to concede. Lucky deflection helped but slight lack of concentration too. We can still win it, getting chances and still battling.
  10. Surprised Hall & Jatta have gone off yet Jones is still on.
  11. Quality move - lovely again from Grant, good finish from Jatta-tack. Hall & Grant linked up a couple of times in last 10 mins. Think they are key to our attacking prowess tbh.
  12. We need to improve in 2nd half & we can win this - they were sharper and provided more support. We look isolated in possession. Jones is offering very little so far & Tsaroulla’s done nothing going forward either. If we play through Hall & Robbo and the wide men start playing, we’ve got a chance. Oh, and bring Dennis on asap too, can’t afford him to be sitting on the bench too long.
  13. Slack defending there - too many ball watching & Drinan left unmarked!
  14. Strong enough side, looking forward to this - COYP.
  15. Hall! 4 mins into stoppage time. Great stuff.
  16. Dennis on - which is a bonus. He’s got to be the unluckiest bloke in the squad to be left out, as top scorer, of course. Sorry, forgot to “submit” this earlier. Have to say, I prefer Chicksen as a match summariser than full back tbh. I know he has his fans on here but I was never convinced. His performance on the microphone has been articulate & measured, very impressive.
