  1. bostock vs wrexham but the club will give it to one of langstaffs goals so he sweeps 3 awards.
  2. i really cant comment on players i would like to see the club sign, but i will say that connor lemonheigh-evans should only be signed if ruben rodrigues leaves. i was not all that impressed with his loan here. he barely made an impact and seemed to want the glory, than to be a team player. if hes happy to sit on the bench most of the time and work hard to play, then maybe. otherwise i think its a waste of wages.
  3. future 'signing of the season' for pon at the end of the upcoming season i feel. superb! massive coup for us and something which may have a knock on effect with the other players who have been offered new deals.
  4. this is brilliant news, jodi is a great signing for notts! i am well happy.
  5. @DangerousSausage im begging you to do it, it will be a brilliant feature! ???????? i hope you would have the time. ????????
  6. macaulay langstaff is not like most players, in his down time he decides to go back home and meets people at his former school. look at all the excited faces on the childrens faces. if we can get that response from fans in nottingham, we may get some more young supporters on board. i wished notts would give free school tickets again, not just to these football groups. its what got me hooked!
  7. @DangerousSausage why not turn this into a feature? first game, the 100 mark, 500 mark, 1000 mark etc. you reflect on where we were at each major milestone. i think it would be a brilliant feature if you thought you could. its very impressive that we are not that far from hitting the 5,000 mark.
  8. if wrexham fans can believe that they will succeed, i believe we can. the fact we have a good squad as things are and players offered new deals. if they sign it will be time to go again. it may turn out to be harder than i think but after being in the national league, league two does not compare. 4 teams gain promotion, lets hope we are one of them!
  9. i think the season the club tried focing jonathan forte out of the door, with kevin nolan just leaving he out was a poor decision. he has always delivered the goods, his earlier spell was impactful and when he returned i was glad. the pride of nottingham stood behind forte, i think @Chris and @Joe Jones sponsored him as a sign of support. he did very well for us against coventry, he was a game changer in the home tie and we should not have had the goal disallowed.
  10. we are going to peg wrexham to the title, i dont care if they sign danny drinkwater. we have matt palmer! if ben foster stays, we have sam slocombe! i know its going to be tough but i have a feeling we will be in the running. if the players hit the ground running we could really make a go at trying to go back to back with promotions. whatever happens, i will be cheering them on and hoping we have a good finish. at the end of the day it will be nice just to be back in league two.
  11. hayden mullins? hes from reading so that goes out of the window.
  12. i think since we have had matt palmer the club has improved with pressing and picking the ball up, hes always trying to get it back and watches the ball well. i have been impressed by him from his first season, he just seems to get better and the arrival of john bostock allowed him to focus more on his attacking play. its good more fans are starting to appreciate what he brings to the side, he would be one of the first players named in my own match XI and to say how many games he played this past season, it just shows his importance to the side.
  13. you see as the video progresses how @ARLukomskis excitement builds. when he first talks near the hospitality entrance he seems nervous as hell. you can tell what he means. superb video!
  14. i think its not actually been that bad either, the standard of football for me turned out to be better. there are too many teams in league two that just lump the ball forward or use their physicality to muscle out play. i preferred the 4 years in the fifth tier more than most of the seasons i have seen us in league two. under our current ownership, squad and how more on board the fan base is due to all this, its promising.
  15. i hope the fans who managed to share this special experience truly appreciate how this moment in time feels compared to all the upset, i am glad the club allowed fans to be one. i hope they give us who have not had the chance a way to feel a part of it but it is a special time in notts countys history. i am pleased for everyone involved.
  16. it would be nice if notts could ride the waves of this promotion and go again, to eventually return to the championship. we are a family club, which sometimes is overlooked but it would be great to see us playing at the highest possible level. i dont think the premier league is all that realistic with the amount of money it takes, but several clubs have managed to do it on a very tight budget. i am just cautious about it leading to instability after all our work to avoid it. i am quite happy bouncing from the championship to league one.
  17. its made the club rethink things and the reedtz stick to a plan, i think its been the best thing that has happened in truth. the football has not been that bad and we have always been one of the upper half teams. its given us enough time to form a team that could go the distance again. its all about adding quality and going again.
  18. chesterfield were a lot like boreham wood just a lot better, they have transformed into a decent team who looked good on the wembley pitch. i wished they would cut out the timewasting, the referee was smart to it but did not give any bookings. i also feel they were lucky to have 10 men come the end of the game. notts should have lumped the ball forward then tried to keep it on the ground with our midfield working hard to maintain the ball. instead of our defence being forced into mistakes and pressure due how chesterfield ran everything down. they did the pressure on notts for sure. i thought notts were better overall, if you count all the time they spent creating chances and were on top of the game. chesterfield just did better in the first half, but they did look good on goal after. notts looked a little lacking, i think macaulay langstaff should have tried to buy some more time when he had some of his chances instead of rushing his shot. its great to be promoted1 better to have seen it. very proud of the team.
  19. hes been class all season, since wrexham and some of the other teams he struggled but every player does. i thought he was at his best against chesterfield. he just needed a bit more support at times but thats not on him but others. chicksen will hopefully come back stronger having a break, hes worked hard!
  20. i agree with all the points raised and made by chris, i thought notts did well. i heard comments from fans complaining about how poor the squad had been but if that was the case. chestefield struggled to put more than 2 past us, we worked hard to take the game to them and to pull back level twice.
  21. as always, @Chris you have captured the day from a fans perspective and have done the fanbase proud. well done mate.
  22. what a rollercoaster! the whole game felt tense but magical at the same time. i am very fortunate that @CliftonMagpie and @TheSkipper asked me to join them in travelling to the game. i enjoyed every minute with them and watching notts. i don't want to discredit chesterfield because they played well. their fans in the ground were also very lively. they got behind their players a little better than us and it was not due to leading the game. they just wanted it and showed it. our fans were incredible in spells but with the amount we took, everyone signing the same chant would be hard and we dont handle our emotions that well.
  23. chesterfield can take 10k or more derby county fans, but we only need one @super_ram to match them!
  24. this is a brilliant read, all three fans summed up their account well and i can relate to each of them. i think colin sisson and his son, is a nice reminder just how far we have come. the emotion of the win did get the best of me, i think it did with many others but what a great moment for us all!
