Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
i am happy for jim o brien, he is what every fan wants in a notts player. a good guy, hard working and just focused on doing the best not just by himself but the squad. 5-2 is a good scoreline, which does show our confidence no matter what maidstones quality is because you can only beat whats in front of you. they tried to claw back, which does deserve acknowledging and i hope we can go into the next game against york feeling the waves of this game.

Jim OβBrienβs hat-trick secures thrilling Notts County win away against Maidstone United
jim deserves it, hes been excellent for the most part of the season and always comes into the squad wanting to get the best out of it. i do not know why a small minority would be idiots towards such a player that has given us this amount of loyal service. i personally think they just want to moan and get rid of any connection to the team that got relegated from the football league which seems unfair. the result was a good one, very pleased by it and their pitch looked shocking.

Ryan Reynolds: "They deserve to go up. We are rooting for Notts County"
i know there is a bit a jealousy in our camp when it comes to wrexham and their owners, especially ryan reynolds but he just comes across a very nice person. wishing us all the best and saying that he is rooting for us, well not many other owners or people in football would say that. most would ramble on about their club, their season and pay no attention to anyone else.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
this could be good fun! i like the idea of it. so if he was born in 1970, he most likely wouldn't be play and has been retired for a few years. the youngest he could be is 40 if i am right with that and if hes played for 20 clubs, i cant imagine hes still playing. ???? can i ask what the highest level it is that he played in?

Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
i dont know if this squad will perform better on the pitch, its possible something that benefits them but i have faith the squad will work hard. if we can create some good chances, the game should be winnable. i don't think we need to overthink to much, with the way some of the players are in form they need to be kept in. as for how to break them down, we need to see some of the players like rodrigies and chicksen step up. i cant see williams giving chicksen a rest at this stage even though he seems to need it.

Notts County's Luke Williams urges team to push hard in final National League games
i think luke williams is trying to keep the players focused going into the final two games, as a way to distract them from the playoffs. i think we should pay less attention to who we might face and just focus on what we know. when the team who will face us is announced, then we just need to make sure to review our past games against them.

Luke Williams reveals reasoning behind Jodi Jones and Adam Chicksen's position swap
i get that jodi jones likes to dribble with the ball, but if this was the plan why did we take him off and leave adam chicksen on who looks knackered most of the time? the decision did not work for me, it was just a very odd call.

Match Discussion: Game 44 - The Cardinals (H)
i thought notts handled woking well, making them chase the ball and just quite happily passed the ball around. there was chances in the first half, but it was a polished performance until the second half kicked off. i also think aaron nemane responded well after being put on the bench. also aden baldwin looked good in defence. notts always comes alive once they score, especially at home and teams struggle to cope with that energy gained.

Sam Austin's brace helps Notts County close gap on National League leaders
first half was not as good as the second, the chances became better as the time ticked on. i think woking started to tire which helped us, as they chased everything and we quite happily passed the ball around.

Match Discussion: Game 44 - The Cardinals (H)
i thought i would add my final thoughts before the game and include a score predictions, which i think will be 2-1 to notts. i think langstaff and jones will score. whatever lineup notts opts to start, i hope they dont get any negative responses and no boos for losing. if this happens i know it would only be a minority but it looks bad on us all. i think the game will be lively, i expect woking to give us more of a game. considering where they are, they should be able to do that. i look forward to seeing both teams hopefully going toe to toe for the points.

Injury Update: Notts County's Aden Baldwin and Richard Brindley set to potentially return against Woking
we need both players fit and 100% ready for the playoffs, both a very good players and no doubt we could have used them against wrexham, but at least they are not seriously out for long. more that they need time to recover to full fitness.

Match Discussion: Game 44 - The Cardinals (H)
2nd from last home game, season is building to the playoff stages. its good that we have secured the sitting out the first wave of playoff games. i think its important that notts uses the remaining games to repick up the form after the wrexham defeat. we need to lift the confidence and just prepare to seeout the rest of the games as an undefeated team.

Is the Multiverse Theory the ultimate answer to life's biggest questions?
i dont know, it seems a thing that has been hyped with all the movie crossovers. like marvel and dc, besides how likely is it that evidence will ever be found? it just seems unlikely to me.

Match Discussion: Game 43 - Red Dragons (A)
its not just bajrami, the back 3 had no awareness together. cameron plays to far up, the wing back did not protect them enough. bajrami was bad, but so was rawlinson. i dont think those 3 work together, baldwin has more pace and is more switched one. very disconnected at the back, but its things to learn from isn't it? now is the time to work on those in order to improve in time for the playoffs.

Kyle Cameron and John Bostock shine as Notts County come up short against Wrexham
john bostocks free kick is the type of goal you hope would win games, i thought wrexham did better in the first half. a lot of iffy antics but both teams played well. as i said in the match discussion, i dont personally blame the officials i thought they did quite well. unfortunately notts just was not good enough on the day. its what it is, but we have had a good season and need to use this to push on through the playoffs.

Match Discussion: Game 43 - Red Dragons (A)
it was a very entertaining game in the end, especially in the second half. i thought they did better in the first 45 minutes, they looked dangerous and we rode our luck at times. i want to say, i think the officials made very good calls throughout the game. the referee was aware of mullins antics, the assistants made the right call with each of the offsides. its unlucky for us, that baj had a nightmare of a game. him being shoved to the ground, it was a foul but the way he went down seemed very easy, his back flick was a huge blunder which is unlike him but i dont fault the calls. its hard not to give the benefit of the doubt to a striker under those circumstances, its the same as the decision in our favour when mullin dived due to cameron slightly touching him. i feel very sorry for scott that he missed the penalty, i disagree that it was bad. ben foster did well to save it, the ball was hit with power and a good placement. foster has always been decent at saving penalties. i dont blame the miss and although i think defensively notts should have done better. i am proud of the squad. i honestly feel we missed baldwin in the back.

Where are they now... Zeli Ismail
i thought he was the type of player that needed a honest manager, that would motivate him but also call him out. he had some great games for notts but did come across as a bit lazy at times. i dont question his ability, but his hunger and attitude to be successful. i am surprised hes playing for a welsh club though.

Match Discussion: Game 43 - Red Dragons (A)
pressure is on both teams and with it being on tv, i would be lying if i was not nervous. i hope the notts fans that manage to go, go in good spirit and enjoy the game. it was be incredible to hear the notts chants at wrexham's ground out performing the home team. that would help the nerves and the players. i dont the players will be too phased by the occasion, they just need to keep focus and do what they do best.
-
Match Discussion: Game 42 - The Stones (H)
i think they buckled on the occasion and just struggled with how quickly notts would press. on the ball we made it very difficult for them to move it or get it forward without lumping it forward. every time they seemed to smash the ball away, it seemed to go to one of our players and the pressure would just come back. i think the first mistake they made was switching which way we attacked, i think they would have a better 45 minutes if they had the family stand behind them instead of the kop. that said notts were just determined to get the result and i think langstaff deserved a brace. his effort that hit the post, i thought that had gone in. it was a very good home win which sets up monday against wrexham nicely.

Notts County claims top spot in National League with Macaulay Langstaff's Record-Breaking Goals
incredibly touching game and well deserved win for notts, i think wrexham dropping points and us going top on goal difference was a remarkable part of the game. the chants from the kop was encouraging and it felt a lot more special. i think jason turner and @GrannyPie would be proud of the lads. as will every other fan who has sadly passed away during 2023.

Match Discussion: Game 42 - The Stones (H)
i dont think we can, as teams can spring a surprise or just perform better than us but i think we are in good form right now. fingers crossed we can get those points.
