  1. monday to friday, i worked from 8am to 5pm. we have a lot of crates that are now being stored in the car park. wrapped up in clingfilm, with multiple waterproofing and weatherproofing sheets over them. it means i have had to rely on the bus to work. i dont mind, it gives me time to come on here or just listen to music. i would bike it but the last time i did that, someone popped my tyres and i had to walk it home. in the evening i try to get on here as much as i can, i have been speaking a little to @super_ram at the start but i dont like bothering people. yesterday, i relaxed and just spent time on my computer browsing pon, facebook and twitter. also a few other sites. today, i went on a bike from beeston to clifton to see my mum. i spent a bit of time with her then cycled home. its been really nice out, the breeze was not cold but it kept you at the right temperature.
  2. @DangerousSausage why not turn this into a feature? first game, the 100 mark, 500 mark, 1000 mark etc. you reflect on where we were at each major milestone. i think it would be a brilliant feature if you thought you could. its very impressive that we are not that far from hitting the 5,000 mark.
  3. if wrexham fans can believe that they will succeed, i believe we can. the fact we have a good squad as things are and players offered new deals. if they sign it will be time to go again. it may turn out to be harder than i think but after being in the national league, league two does not compare. 4 teams gain promotion, lets hope we are one of them!
  4. the football league paper have been very good to notts, i like that they have written these pieces its like they are waving us good bye. i dont think there is much coverage in newspaper form from the football leagues perspective. it would be nice though. its a very good article, they have published a few on notts today.
  5. i think the season the club tried focing jonathan forte out of the door, with kevin nolan just leaving he out was a poor decision. he has always delivered the goods, his earlier spell was impactful and when he returned i was glad. the pride of nottingham stood behind forte, i think @Chris and @Joe Jones sponsored him as a sign of support. he did very well for us against coventry, he was a game changer in the home tie and we should not have had the goal disallowed.
  6. we are going to peg wrexham to the title, i dont care if they sign danny drinkwater. we have matt palmer! if ben foster stays, we have sam slocombe! i know its going to be tough but i have a feeling we will be in the running. if the players hit the ground running we could really make a go at trying to go back to back with promotions. whatever happens, i will be cheering them on and hoping we have a good finish. at the end of the day it will be nice just to be back in league two.
  7. incidents of that nature are rare but i remember, i wished the member who made the comment had just apologised and continued. they have left too, i think he blames chris but it was a silly comment. quite disrespectful and i understand why it would hurt. i am glad you are both back.
  8. hayden mullins? hes from reading so that goes out of the window.
  9. yes, i think its just a case of him having a break from football and then the club finalising the deal. it may be complete already, i know the club have waited to announce things like this together. it will be a massive story for the club if and when he does, one which is deserved because hes class.
  10. yesterday i did not do much at all, i just relaxed. today i went on a bike ride from beeston to clifton, popped by my mums briefly and came back home. its been really nice out. the breeze takes the edge of the heat. when cycling its the best. i cant really say much else, i am boring the best of times.
  11. i think the fans have been the biggest unsung heroes, especially the fans who time and time again try to spread positivity within our fan base, go out of their way to keep people together. we have a good growing supporters base, its much healthier now and hopefully if we can keep claiming we can pull in more. all the coaching staff have been incredible and i hope they enjoyed wembley just as much as we did.
  12. i jumped into @CliftonMagpie and @TheSkipper, then hugged a random notts fan. people where incredibly supportive, i actually broke down crying and i am not afraid to say it. my emotions came out, i was so relieved. i am thankful that thomas and lewis offered to let me go with them. i think the journey and day was better for all this. we stayed on to watch the players celebrate and made a dash for the coach as we did not want to miss it. all the fans on the coach where in cloud 9, its the happiest i have seen fans in years. it was such a remarkable experience, it makes you thankful. i still dont know who the random fan was that i hugged, he seemed just as much surprised we got promoted than i did. it was a great day. this is a great idea!
  13. i think the style of football notts plays would adapt well to league two. i know people say that the national league is a division where you cant play pretty football but notts has proven this is wrong. provided that we keep the main players like ruben rodrigues, kyle cameron and aarone nemane we should still be very much focused on attacking. the main issue i see is from a defensive point of few, will we be able to cut out the set pieces, slowness to start games and cut out the switching off when the game is hard or we are doing well.
  14. the players are incredible, i try not to bother them. i have reached out to a couple like kyle cameron and jim o brien. i hoped they would get in touch with @Chris when he was having a bad time. i had emailed the club many times, nobody replied which i thought was poor. i know they get busy but it made me feel like the clubs stance on mental health was nothing more than a front to look good. jim put me in contact with a staff member called charlie, i think hes great. as i say, i have never asked for a photo or signature. i have a few signed prints that chris has done. i love them! i need to get a few more for my house tbh. i sing and clap, try to encourage the players. i think tom weal is brilliant, as is luke williams and ryan the assistant.
  15. i miss the pride of nottingham poncast, it was a brilliantly produced by @Chris. i do watch the magpie circle but its a web show, not a podcast. i have not read a book for years, when the game of thrones were on tv, i did buy all the books and yes, i know thats the tv title.
  16. i tried, i find the channel very behind the times and team talk has bored the life out of me. its not the same as match talk, i wished the bbc radio nottingham would bring it back. all the waffle about mansfield and forest. the people they have on dont help, adrian is fine but usually the forest fans are mind numbing.
  17. i take it as it comes, i do find it disappointing but i am not one to dwell. i would rather put my focus into supporting the club so it can move forward. it really hurt when we got relegated to league two and the trews went on the war path blaming our support. i did not think it was fair, maybe some fans were causing trouble but i dont think excusing all the fans was really that fair. likewise when ah came in, it lifted my hopes and i thought he marketed the club well. it soon got to his head and became all about him, the season when kevin nolan almost got us promoted it was a great ride but the following season just deflated you. i have seen such a poor squad representing a club that deserves better. thankfully relegation has lead to better things, the reedtz have done well to transform the club and under luke williams i am encouraged more to give my full support. i just feel once the hurt and upset subsides, you have to go again. no point in dwelling, you have to support the players who remain and hope for better times. i think we have had a wonderful time in the national league, i know we didn't want to be there but we did not deserve our league status. now we finally do and its brilliant.
  18. hello @CountyFan2105, welcome to the pride of nottingham. would you be open to telling us somethings about yourself? it would be nice to break the ice and learn a bit about you. you will soon get plenty of welcome messages from our friendly members.
  19. i think since we have had matt palmer the club has improved with pressing and picking the ball up, hes always trying to get it back and watches the ball well. i have been impressed by him from his first season, he just seems to get better and the arrival of john bostock allowed him to focus more on his attacking play. its good more fans are starting to appreciate what he brings to the side, he would be one of the first players named in my own match XI and to say how many games he played this past season, it just shows his importance to the side.
  20. its the first time that i have found myself thinking that all the released players makes sense, its hard for frank vincent because he has the ability to be a class player but we have not seen enough of it. i think if we are to avoid being sentimental all of the released players are ones we can sign a stronger option. that does not take anything away from their contributions which i am thankful for. any player that gives their all deserves that respect. i hope all the players offered deals extend and stay with notts, i think sam slocombe is the perfect keeper to push tiernan brooks to be a future number one.
  21. its a great update and its nice to know, i am looking forward to see the new players arrive. then its the pre season tour and the begins again. its great to read the pr system is being changed!
  22. i was going to say it was beckham vs greece, that saved england from failing to proceed to the group stages.
  23. you see as the video progresses how @ARLukomskis excitement builds. when he first talks near the hospitality entrance he seems nervous as hell. you can tell what he means. superb video!
  24. @Fan of Big Tone you have made a great return, so where knows!
  25. happy birthday, @Chris. i hope you have a great day. nothing but best wishes to you and everyone. i hope you enjoy your special day. does the promotion back to league two count as a present?
