Match Discussion: Play Off Final - The Spireites
i am nervous too, but i am glad that i will be going with @CliftonMagpie and @TheSkipper. it should be a good game between two teams that desperately want promotion and although i do hope we avoid the same issues as we have seen against boreham wood. i think we will have moments naturally where it will come down to a quick recovery or needing sam slocombe to be an hero. every player, including chesterfields team will be excited about playing at wembley. i don't think either team will go straight for the kill, i can see it being quite slow. as @Chris we need to be 100% passionate and just wait for the players to get their grove. shouting nonsense at the players is not going to help and i hope those types stay at home. beleve and we should do well. langstaff to get a brace, ruben to get one and austin to round things off. my prediction being 4-2 to notts.

Faces of PON 22-23: Boreham Word (H) PSF
brilliant pictures mate, these are absolutely great and its nice to see so many fans with happy faces. it must have been difficult during the first half and i would not blame you for not persisting but well done for seeing it through. i have never known anyone to be so optimistic about a team.

Jodi Jones reflects on his 'amazing feeling' after scoring winner for Notts County
complete game changer, his presence gives the opposition so many headaches and multiple players who they need to mark which makes attacking a lot more lethal. i am pleased for him because he plays with a smile and just works hard, its hard to imagine anyone else like him being happy to be on the bench.

Notts County One Step Closer to English Football League Return After 3-2 Win Against Boreham Wood
i felt a bit fed up with how notts played in the first half, it became disappointing to see how poorly we defended and although i credit Boreham Wood for their pressure they were gifted their second. the first was a very well timed run and excellent finish, they deserved that but the game from a notts perspective needed more robust defending. a much better second half with goals coming right when we needed, i thought ruben rodigues struck a very poor penalty, he did not look confident leading up to it but i dont think anyone should really complain. jodi jones is just incredible and if we dont act to sign him he has shown others that he is class. strike whilst the iron is hot notts, get him on board.

Notts County's Dominant Performance Against York City Serves as Warning Ahead of Play-Offs
it should be a good game between us and boreham wood, i think seeing notts dominate with little play from them would be nice to see. i dont think i could handle seeing them give us any sort of scare but realistic, i do feel they will give us a game. notts just needs to be careful of their darker side.

Match Discussion: Play Off Semi-Final - The Wood (H)
i think sunday would be the type of game where composure from all of the players is key, if notts scored early and lets say it lead to a 2-0 lead. its not exactly going to offer much relief knowing how mad playoff games can be. i mean, i would like it but boreham wood just have to score 1 and the games tipped on its head. its easy for a team to surge on to win like they did against barnet. i thought they did well with the limited chances, so its important notts just tries to reduce what clear efforts they get on goal and ensure good chances come to our players. i would love to see richard brindley return along side kyle cameron and aden baldwin.

Notts County's exceptional season doesn't guarantee play-off success, warns manager Luke Williams
part of his plans to keep the team and fans in balance ahead of the game, we just need to approach it in a manner where we concentrate on our own performance and creating goal scoring chances.

Macaulay Langstaff and Les Bradd: A Relationship Built on Goals and History
its great to see the club finally having luck with good strikers, signing macaulay langstaff was a touch of genius and i hope he stays around for a few more seasons. i think notts and langstaff can progress further together, but even the memories of the goals he has scored during this campaign will be remembered for all his efforts.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
@Fozzy you are too good at this and are such a tease when it comes to naming the player. @CliftonMagpie wants putting out of his misery. ????????

What Should Our Squad Look Like Next Season? A Breakdown of Key Players and Recommendation?
i think it makes the managers role easier when the squad structure is there, its just a terms of balancing the rest of the wage budget to bring in players that add strength to the team. i think if we can renew the majority of the out of contract players, bring in jodi jones and improve the defence we will we will be a much stronger. hopefully we will win the playoffs, which would add more money to the coffers. i think each of the signings this season has been a boost to the squad. notts are blessed in midfield and unfortunately that does mean there is little space for ed francis. he has not been the same player since michael doyle left but i think he will pick up again if he was to move on and play more.

Adam Chicksen: Luke Williams’ Influence Vital in Decision to Remain with Magpies
hes done very well this season, he has enjoyed playing and for the most part hes been incredibly lively on the ball. a very dangerous player for us, who likes to tease and cross in those inviting balls for our forwards. i am delighted hes staying, i thought he might decide to move on but his commitment is worth praising. also well done to luke williams for bringing the best out of a player who had been a vital part of the teams promotion hopes.

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Minstermen (H)
@Chris i think adam chicksen will play in the upcoming match. it would be disappointing to see sam austin dropped for jodi jones, but i believe he will still be on the bench. it’s always tough to make these decisions and i’m sure the team will do what they think is best for the game.

Adam Chicksen's scoring streak secures new deal with Notts County
i am glad adam chicksen has signed on again, 2 more years means we should see plenty more goals from him.

Luke Williams' animal antics: from wrestling deer to chasing them off training pitch
haha ???? i would have loved to have been able to watch this training session, you just could not make it up!
-
Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Minstermen (H)
it would be good to maintain the current winning streak, it would be a good thing for the home playoff tie. i know form and the season games can go out of the window but determination and spirt can be a big part of that. york should be a standard game for notts, allow our midfield to tire them out and just press with creativity. hopefully both teams will have plenty of chances and score some good goals. i think notts will win 4-1.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
well done @Fozzy, i enjoyed taking part in this again @CliftonMagpie its been another fun round.

Join the Journey: as Notts County announces season ticket prices for 2023/24 season
i dont see any reasons why nobody would renew, so hopefully the 4k mark will hit 4.2-4.5k. it would be nice to see more fans in the family stand.

Notts County’s Jim O’Brien celebrates emotional hat-trick with fans
it’s amazing how much emotions can be stirred up by something as simple as a song. when the crowd starts singing and the energy is high, it’s hard not to get caught up in the moment. it’s a beautiful thing to see how much joy and passion can be shared through music and sports.

Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
i am happy for jim o brien, he is what every fan wants in a notts player. a good guy, hard working and just focused on doing the best not just by himself but the squad. 5-2 is a good scoreline, which does show our confidence no matter what maidstones quality is because you can only beat whats in front of you. they tried to claw back, which does deserve acknowledging and i hope we can go into the next game against york feeling the waves of this game.
-
Jim O’Brien’s hat-trick secures thrilling Notts County win away against Maidstone United
jim deserves it, hes been excellent for the most part of the season and always comes into the squad wanting to get the best out of it. i do not know why a small minority would be idiots towards such a player that has given us this amount of loyal service. i personally think they just want to moan and get rid of any connection to the team that got relegated from the football league which seems unfair. the result was a good one, very pleased by it and their pitch looked shocking.
-
Ryan Reynolds: "They deserve to go up. We are rooting for Notts County"
i know there is a bit a jealousy in our camp when it comes to wrexham and their owners, especially ryan reynolds but he just comes across a very nice person. wishing us all the best and saying that he is rooting for us, well not many other owners or people in football would say that. most would ramble on about their club, their season and pay no attention to anyone else.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
this could be good fun! i like the idea of it. so if he was born in 1970, he most likely wouldn't be play and has been retired for a few years. the youngest he could be is 40 if i am right with that and if hes played for 20 clubs, i cant imagine hes still playing. ???? can i ask what the highest level it is that he played in?
-
Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
i dont know if this squad will perform better on the pitch, its possible something that benefits them but i have faith the squad will work hard. if we can create some good chances, the game should be winnable. i don't think we need to overthink to much, with the way some of the players are in form they need to be kept in. as for how to break them down, we need to see some of the players like rodrigies and chicksen step up. i cant see williams giving chicksen a rest at this stage even though he seems to need it.
