I immediately thought of Dadi and Angell too. Peter Beadle looked the absolute business on his debut but didn't follow it up and left a few months later. Kevin Rapley and Chris O'Grady scored on their debuts too. Lately we don't even seem to be getting the impressive debuts though!

David Clarke ( going back some years for some) although scoring on his debut, I would never have classed it as impressive. In more recent times, Billy Daniels stunner against Crewe. 

hayhurst debut was decent, he controlled the wing well and looked to get forward.

after that he disappointed. who was that striker we took from the championship side a few years back on loan? i think it was watford. he was awful!

@liampie Chris Iwelumo from Watford I seem to recall. File under Dan Chillingworth, Leroy Lita, and countless others in terms of effect.
