Shrewsbury Town appoints Appleton

The Manager merry go round continues with this appointment of Appleton. Kudos to Appleton for taking the job with Shrewsbury who are routed to the bottom of League 1 with just 9 games left to save themselves.

So he's been appointed till the end of the season. Looks like his long term future at Shrewsbury depends on whether he can save save them from relegation or not. It's going bto be very tough, however I wish him the best of luck.

Michael Appleton has been on the bounce in recent years, and if he is able to settle for the long term at Shrewsbury Town, I do think he will turn out to be a very good appointment. I rate him as a coach; he's a decent manager, but he seems attracted to clubs where I feel he would never be seen as a long-term solution unless he were finding things a breeze.

Personally, I think Shrewsbury is the right kind of club for him to succeed with.
