Gaza's vanishing football stadiums

Danger of this being declared "political" but this is a powerful piece worth watching. FIFA and UEFA's inactions are a disgrace

Martin Calladine aka @uglygame.bsky.social message has been removed by @Chris.
The BlueSky embed has been removed because of the unmistakable political message it conveys.

I will allow direct linking to the video documentary; however, it is still political, and I warned potential viewers to try to keep any form of politics off this site. The information shared within the video shows what has happened to football in Gaza, which is interesting and sad, but the fact is that this is a very borderline subject.

Therefore, I will keep this topic locked to prevent any political outbursts. However, to provide some flexibility, I will allow the video to be shared, as the political aspects will not be discussed here. It does show what is happening to football in Gaza, whether it be legal or illegal. It is for you to decide how much of this to take in, but please refrain from talking about it here.

Is anyone complaining about Ukraine's missing football grounds? It's a shame if any footballer (or person) dies, but stadiums can be rebuilt. It is a pity to see them end up as rubble, but the political side should be kept clear of in this discussion.

I repeat, this is a football article, sourced by football journalists.

For @Wheelbarrow repair man on a point of fact, re Genocide...This is from the United Nations: "A UN special committee has said that Israeli policies and practices in Gaza are “consistent with the characteristics of genocide”.

@Piethagoram this Can Not be Debated without going into the Political Arena, which I Understand @Chris has Banned from this Site. It's Not about Football that is just a thin veneer ,and even you yourself have stated there's a Danger of this being declared Political, which in my Opinion it is.

It's very difficult to make any form of comment toward the video without it treading into the political side.

I do not wish to view or read anything that might cause tension among our site, and I am mindful that we have younger members whose parents might not appreciate some of the strong wording that was attached to the BlueSky message. This is a decision based on being fair, which is to allow the video, but from the "discussion" point of view, it has already shown that it falls within political boundaries.

I ask team members who may have permission to reply here, even after the topic has been locked, to avoid doing so. You can raise concerns to me directly; however, the nature of the discussion is always at risk of being political, and that leads to people becoming upset.
