It appears Alan Smiths contract is up this year and Plymouth Argyle are intrested in taking him this is a odd one to me .

thought they'd go for Stanley or Noble.

in a lot of peoples eyes this is a blessing in disguise

it is for me cause Curtis Thompson and rob Milsom are far more energetic and will press a lot higher and can play and won't get overrun.

Alan Smith is useful playing every so often, where he can be 100% and used to break up play by his physical presence.

Yet for me, Notts would be better suited to signing him up as a coach.

Having someone like him mixing with the first team/reserves and youth team would be useful. As a player, I just don't think he's fit enough to play week in and out - even when he plays just a few games back to back. He looked sharp recently, then it totally disappeared again.

I thought when he signed there was talk of him coaching but that was under Derry.

for me Curtis should be playing week in week out young hungry great engine runs all day can play at a high tempo.

Put noble and Milsom in there all three can play chase and get stuck in and won't get overrun and we would look far more energetic

I can see Moniz saying about experience etc...but most of the time we just look lethargic when he plays.

With Milsom, Thompson, Noble and Stanley we have a good engine room imo. (Far better than the position we are in at the moment in the league!)

Hope he leaves asap. (Along with the Manager and Branston if the results continue to drop.
