Jake Ball from Welbeck has been called up to England's squad for the first test against Sri Lanka. Great to see a local lad coming through the ranks so well. He's been Notts best bowler this season - fully deserved.

Never heard of him, however any Notts cricketer gaining selection for England deserves it.

Yes, congratulations to him, he has come from nowhere really to stake a claim. He appears to be a late developer and maybe it has finally clicked that he can be half decent at this game with a bit of dedication and effort!
