Ratings Notts v Cheltenham

Based on a mean of 5

Collin - 6 - better than normal but still question his decision making

Bola - 6.5 - Some tidy stuff and good link up play. Defensively didn't take risks
Duffy - 7 - Best performance in a Notts shirt
Audel - 6.5 - Solidity, good partnership with Duffy
Hewitt - 5.5 - again much better than normal Hewitt fare. Dear diary, Hewitt put in a good tackle. Still suspect positionally

Yeates - 6 -Better 1st half, but does give the side some balanceiet game, good shot that hit the bar
Thompson - 6 Excellent 1st half, faded in second
Milsom - 6 - Did simple things well, but overshadowed by O'Connor
O'Connor - 6.5 - Gem of a pass to Stead for opener. Combative in midfield in winning headers

Stead - 7.- Back to the Stead of all. Class finish
Ameobi - 6 -Good touches but lacked pace

Subs:

Grant - n/a
Forte - 6 - Should have buried the game
Campbell - 5 ... Should have scored from follow up to Forte's shot

If you learn something from every game, there shall come a point in time, when you should never lose... Jimmy Sirrel

Will check back for more ratings tomorrow.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Collin 6 - not a lot to do but looked generally assured.
Hewitt 6 - some good tackles but his positional play is suspect.
Duffy 7 - continued his recent improvement, looked solid all game.
Audel 6.5 - showed the commitment we have come to expect.
Bola 6.5 - nothing fancy but defended soundly and looked good on the ball.
Thompson 6.5 - good first hour, then became a bit hesitant.
O'Connor 7.5 - a real physical presence in midfield, won countless challenges and drove us forward well.
Milsom 7 - nothing eye catching but his positioning and workrate give the team a solid shape.
Yeates 6.5 - some good touches and at last we have someone who can take a decent corner.
Stead 8* - Some classy touches and used the extra space well with some excellent link up play, cool finish for his goal.
Ameobi 6 - ref did him no favours, his best contribution was allowing Stead to flourish.

Forte 6 - exploited the space well on the counter, should have scored.
Campbell 5 - glimpses of promise, missed a sitter.
Grant - n/a

Harder work than it should have been after an excellent first half, but a deserved 3 points nonetheless.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.
