If Notts were to win promotion to League One, which players from the current squad would you want to keep? Some might feel that keeping most of the team together is the best way forward, and I would be interested to hear those views. I would also like to know which players you believe are ready to make the step up and show they can handle the higher level. On the other hand, which players do you think would need to push themselves harder and prove they belong at that standard?

I watched the game through the club's service and thought Notts gave a good account of themselves. Crawley didn’t seem that strong, though. I don’t mean that to take away from how well Notts played, but I do think a better side might have closed the space more and tracked the runs better. Even so, Notts didn’t need to force anything. They found space, used it well, and made chances that led to goals. It makes me wonder if Martin Paterson has been working on attacking drills in training.

With Scott Robertson making such a strong return, I do wonder if the club might rethink how packed we are in midfield. It could be a chance to free up space for another striker or maybe a centre back to give us more cover. The squad looks much stronger now, and it’s great to see the loanees stepping up and showing what they can do.

I really hope Jodi Jones hasn’t picked up a knock. He’s too important to lose, especially with the way he links play and keeps things moving. Even though he’s not quite shining in his new role yet, you can still see the effort. He’s trying to adapt and find his rhythm, and that kind of commitment matters.

Jodi Jones had a good game, and I don’t think he needed to come off. Still, I get that it was probably to keep him safe and avoid any risk. Matt Palmer did well too, kept things tidy and worked hard. But it was Matthew Dennis who really stood out with that first goal. It was a brilliant strike and I thought it was top class.

It’s brilliant to see so many fans vote for Nick’s performance. It shows how much his return means to the team and the supporters. We’re at a point where a bit of spark can make all the difference. Nick’s energy and sharpness could be just what we need to lift the level on the pitch.

Much better from the team tonight, and the result should help get the season going. It’s the kind of win that can lift confidence and build momentum. I hope the club can move forward from here. It’s still early days though, and with teams not yet settled, anything can happen. The main thing is not to panic too soon. There’s a long way to go, and things will start to even out once everyone finds their rhythm.

The sound quality isn’t great. It goes up and down, which makes it hard to enjoy properly. Because of that, it’s not enjoyable. It could be much clearer.

Much better from Notts today. It’s good to see Tsaroulla get on the scoresheet, he’s deserved a moment like that. This result should calm a few nerves, even if Shrewsbury weren’t the strongest test. It’s still a step in the right direction. Hopefully Martin Paterson can build on this and put a decent run together. That would help fans stay grounded and avoid the usual panic after a poor result. I’m happy with the performance, but we’ve got to keep pushing. The players need to show they can do this week in, week out.

Sonny Aljofree looked brilliant at the back. In the first half, he won every header and really stood out. I think people might have missed how well he played, maybe because we lost or because the defence struggled at times. Matty Platt should have done better with the first goal, and Kelle Roos gave away the second. That didn’t help. Jacob Bedeau also had a tough game. He gave the ball away too often and was caught out of position quite a bit.

He’s a decent defender, but it looks like his best days are behind him. For one season, though, it’s probably a smart move for Walsall. They need someone experienced at the back to bring a bit of calm and help steady the defence. He should do that well enough. I’m glad we didn’t go for him. We need younger, more promising players to grow and learn alongside Matty Platt and Jacob Bedeau. That’s where the future lies.

He might have ended up having another fairly average season with us, so this move could turn out to be a stroke of luck in the long run. I get why people are disappointed. He’s a top player and proved that across the two seasons he was with us. Most of the time, it was flashes of real quality that made him shine. Wishing him all the best in League One. He’s got what it takes to do well.
