  1. Interesting, not the most ironic story and certainly nothing all that special. It does shed a bit more positivity on David McGoldrick.
  2. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Reedtz brothers for everything they have done for Notts County. Their unwavering commitment and dedication to the club have not gone unnoticed by the fans. We appreciate all of their hard work and the positive impact they have had on the team. We are truly grateful to have had them as part of our club and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
  3. Kristian Dennis is a great player and I’m sure he’ll do well at his new club. He’s got a lot of talent and I’m excited to see what he can achieve in the future. Good luck to him!
  4. McGoldrick’s recollections of driving past the stadium and feeling a sense of belonging illustrate the profound connection he has with Notts County. The club holds a special place in his heart, as it is where he began his professional football career. Returning to the club must evoke a sense of nostalgia and pride for him, as he reflects on his journey and the memories he has made there.
  5. Hello, @calw_111. Welcome to the site and community here.
  6. Hello, @Sirrels County. Welcome to the site and community here.
  7. Hello, James. It's good to have you on the site. Pretty good username! @MagpieLane
  8. Good luck to Ricardo! I hope he enjoys his time in Croatia. It’s a beautiful country and some people don’t realise just how lovely it is there.
  9. These statistics seem rather silly to me. I wonder how many games it took to achieve this total. Oh, and please don’t show this to Ruben - if he does stay with the club, I can see him trying to break this record!
  10. It’s very sad to hear about this situation. I hope Partick Thistle manages to pull through and save themselves.
  11. I am very impressed with the Pride of Nottingham site. I enjoy the discussions and feel valued as part of the community. I am looking forward to hearing the podcast. I remember listening to it when I first joined and it will be great to have it back.
  12. It’s great to see Tiernan Brooks named in the squad. If Notts starts playing him, he could make it to their main squad within a few years given the experience. This would be huge for both him and Notts.
  13. I think McGoldrick would be a great addition to our squad. He has experience, quality and passion for the club. He could mentor the younger players and score some important goals. He deserves a proper send-off at Notts, where he started his career. I hope the rumour is true and we can sign him soon.
  14. Hello, @Stuart McNeil. Welcome to the site.
  15. On the positive side, they should return stronger. A season is enough time for someone to step up. At that level, a local person should have enough money to help them recover.
  16. He had an impressive amount of speed. He wasn’t quite the finished product for us, but it was clear he was a striker. It’s good to see a former Magpie doing well.
  17. Mental health is a big issue in football for players, staff and fans. It’s encouraging to see efforts being made to overcome the stigma associated with it.
  18. I don’t believe in speculation until there’s concrete evidence. These places tend to pick up each other’s stories and add fiction to make them different. There’s no fun in reading false stories.
  19. It’s great to see another Tommy J fan. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham
  20. I really enjoyed listening to We are Notts on BBC Radio Nottingham. It was a great show that captured the highs and lows of our journey from the heartbreak of relegation to the joy of promotion. David Jackson did a fantastic job of telling the story with a lot of passion and attention to detail. He interviewed some of the key players and staff who made it happen, and also gave a voice to the loyal fans who stuck with the club through thick and thin. It was a very emotional and inspiring programme that made me proud to be a Magpie. Well done, David and BBC Radio Nottingham!
  21. As a Notts County fan, I have to admit that Nottingham Forest did well to stay in the Premier League. They showed resilience and determination in the last few games, and they deserve some respect for that. Of course, I still hope that we can beat them in the next derby, but for now, I congratulate them on their achievement.
  22. This is a superb signing for Notts County. Jodi Jones is a prodigy who can become one of the best players in the country. He’s got everything you dream of as a winger: speed, trickery, awareness and composure. He was phenomenal during his loan spell and I’m ecstatic that he’s staying with us for longer.
  23. I’m delighted that Jim O’Brien has been offered a new contract. His leadership on and off the pitch is invaluable to the team. I’m also glad to see that the club is already working on recruitment for next season and I can’t wait to see who we bring in. I hope Kyle Cameron stays with us as he’s been a solid player this season. It’s great to see that the club is keeping a core group of players who have been through challenges together. That kind of unity is important for the team.
  24. Hello and welcome! We’re glad you decided to join us and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Notts County.
  25. As for Ruben’s videos, it seems that they have all disappeared from public view. While he did appear to be in a bad state in many of the videos I saw, I hope the club understands that if you allow players to drink and let their hair down, some will inevitably get into this state. I don’t think it’s appropriate for players or fans to record incidents where people have had too much to drink. It only takes one incident to make it into the press or elsewhere and all the good work is undone.
