  1. This is fantastic news for everyone involved with Notts County. Sam Slocombe is a class act and a vital part of our team. He’s not only a superb keeper, but also a great character and a role model for the youngsters. He’s shown his commitment to the club by signing a new deal and I’m over the moon that he’s staying with us.
  2. It is fantastic news indeed that Connell has been given this opportunity. Not only is he a superb player on the field, but he is also a superb person off the field. He has been an integral part of both our squad and our community, consistently showing his appreciation and devotion to Notts. Connell truly deserves this chance to showcase his abilities and leadership skills. I have no doubt that he will guide us to triumph in the upcoming season.
  3. Delighted for Connell, he’s been brilliant for us since he joined. He’s one of our own now and I’m sure he’ll give his all to get us to League One. He’s got the passion and the quality that we need. Well done Rawlinson!
  4. Wishing you all the best, Greg Tempest! You’ve shown great talent and determination on the pitch, and I have no doubt that you’ll continue to excel in your future endeavours. Keep up the hard work!
  5. I liked @Super_Danny_Allsopp; he posted some good things and it would be a shame if he left. Personally, I don’t find that PON takes up much of my time, but when I’m busy, I do prioritise other things ahead of it. @Chris, you should do what feels right for you. If people want to contribute and help improve the community, they will. We need to catch some of these new members in our fishing nets and hope they contribute. I must say, I’ve enjoyed seeing @yelobeli and @menzinho contribute. Even the great @Fozzy has been a welcome addition.
  6. I’m over the moon that Jodi Jones has signed for Notts County permanently. He’s a fantastic player who can do it all on the wing: dribble, cross, shoot and score. He was a revelation during his loan spell and I’m sure he’ll continue to impress us. He’s a great fit for our club and our culture.
  7. I’m so happy for Jodi Jones. He deserves this opportunity after working hard and proving himself on loan. He’s a young and exciting winger who can create and score goals. He’ll fit in well with our style of play and our ambitions.
  8. For me, it has to be Taylor’s superb strike. I would have voted for John Bostock’s goal, but since it wasn’t listed in the Pride of Nottingham’s selection, I’ll have to go with Taylor’s. It was a fantastic effort and deserves recognition.
  9. Nearly 5,000 games, eh? I can’t help but wonder how many of those were attended by the late, great Colin Slater. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at least half of them - though I’m only joking, of course. I bet he knew more about the early days of Notts County than some of the players who donned our shirts! He is sorely missed.
  10. I think Notts will at least finish in the playoffs. The team has shown incredible skill and determination throughout the season, consistently delivering strong performances on the field. With their talent and dedication, they have what it takes to secure a spot in the playoffs and compete with the best.
  11. He’s incredible! Langstaff’s talent and dedication are truly admirable. He has shown an unwavering commitment to his craft and has consistently delivered top-notch performances. His hard work and determination have paid off in spades, and he continues to amaze us with his incredible talent.
  12. Jonathan Forte was a fantastic player with quick feet and great skill. He had an incredible ability to control the ball and navigate through defenders with ease. His agility and speed made him a formidable opponent on the pitch, and he always gave his all for the team. Forte’s technical ability was matched only by his passion for the game, and he always played with heart and determination. He was a true asset to the team and his contributions will never be forgotten.
  13. I really hope Jodi Jones signs permanently for Notts. He’s a class act and a valuable asset to the team.
  14. Matt Palmer’s performance at Wembley against Chesterfield was truly remarkable. He demonstrated exceptional skill and control on the pitch, consistently making the right decisions and executing them flawlessly.
  15. The National League years serve as a reminder that life exists outside of the Football League. However, it also reminds us that we cannot take the club for granted. After the poor seasons we’ve had under other reigns, it’s refreshing to have owners who are moving the club forward.
  16. I really value the way @ARLukomski incorporated the post-match scenes in his vlog. It demonstrates the significance of the clubs to him and how deeply he is invested in the game. It’s clear that he has a genuine passion for football and it’s great to see that reflected in his content.
  17. Well said, @upthepies. I would agree with everything you have said, the Reedtz seem well prepared and our clubs future does look to be promising right now. Long may it continue.
  18. It’s so refreshing to have owners like the Reedtz brothers who genuinely care about the club and its success. Their statement is a testament to their leadership and vision for the future of Notts County.
  19. I believe we’re on the rise and will become a solid League Two team. Next season will be revealing - if we start off strong, we might even start dreaming of back-to-back promotions. Whether we can do it beyond League One is another question, but I have a feeling we’re on the brink of happier times.
  20. This article really captures the excitement and joy of Notts County’s promotion back to the Football League. It’s great to see the team and fans celebrating together.
  21. Aarone Nemane definitely deserves a round of applause for his performance at Wembley. He’s taken Cal Roberts’ spot in the squad and run with it - literally! When he gets going, teams find it hard to keep up with him. I don’t even mind when he tries things and loses the ball - as long as he tries to win it back. After all, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!
  22. It may not have been the ideal performance, but what counts is the win! Securing it through penalties made it even more special, despite the added tension. What a fantastic trip to London! The reactions of the players were brilliant.
  23. Fantastic photographs, Chris. There are some truly superb shots in the collection!
  24. I wonder how Luke Williams can resolve the nerves in defence because it hinders the ability to go forward. The deep line becomes a nightmare when teams rush out and put more energy into their play. Chesterfield came out wanting it more and played like they had a point to make. The referee made some questionable decisions, but I think he got the penalty decision correct. Unfortunately for Sam Slocombe, he caused two issues at the very start. He looked nervous and if he remains at the club, this defensive issue needs to be worked on. Good teams will find it easy to exploit this weakness, as Wrexham, Boreham Wood and Chesterfield all did. I thought Aaron Nemane was class, but other players like Adam Chicksen and Sam Austin were average. They didn’t contribute much to the game and I think Luke Williams made the right call by bringing Jodi Jones on quicker than normal because he helped change the outcome. Ruben Rodrigues wasn’t very bright but scored well. Macaulay Langstaff had chances but we didn’t bring him into the game. Cedwyn Scott helped in this regard. People praise John Bostock who was solid going forward but clumsy in key areas defensively. His goal was a redeeming stunner and I won’t dwell too much on the penalty.
  25. I don’t think Chesterfield will be too concerned about our previous encounters, just as I believe we wouldn’t be. It’s more on them to want to correct those previous defeats, but at the same time, complacency can become a worrying thing. I am hoping for the best. If any of their players decide to dive like they did last time, the official needs to quickly put a stop to it. It’s important that the game is played fairly and that any unsportsmanlike behavior is dealt with promptly.
