Whatever has happened to Man City?
I'm always sceptical when there's talk of a big club having a "crisis". However, the longer this goes on, the weirder it feels. And on top of it all, Pep Guardiola is clearly at his wits' end and his statements and behaviour are becoming ever more bizarre. He doesn't seem to know how to stop the slide. It's Sheridan-esque. They'll pick up eventually, but they'll be a long way adrift by then. Liverpool have a great chance to bag the title this season.

Prediction league 24/25 round 19 - Saturday 7 December
The results: Luton Town 1-1 Swansea City Cambridge United 4-1 Shrewsbury Town Gillingham 1-0 Salford City Harrogate Town 0-3 AFC Wimbledon All other games: sadly POSTPONED --- Despite the weather really doing a number on this round, every one of you scored at least a point from our four remaining fixtures! The top scorers were @4everapie, @Chris and @william1984 with six each - congrats! --- This is our table overall. @Robbie moves a point clear of @ARLukomski after another strong round. There are only two points between the top three, but anyone in the top nine could be right up with them with a big-scoring round. I will inspect my crystal ball closely as I'm starting to fall adrift. --- That's yer lot for another week. The next proper football (I'm not counting this Europa nonsense) is on Saturday, so expect to see the next fixtures on Wednesday. Have a good week!

Weekly Chat - Monday 9th - Sunday 15th December
Our Christmas tree remains resolutely in its box. I organised most of my presents a couple of weeks ago, but I've still got no idea to get Mrs Sausage. If we want something, we usually just buy it. We've got plenty of booze and sparkly things already. In other news, I'm going to be crazily busy at work for the next two weeks. Roll on the 21st!

FGR new stadium
Greenwashing FC. FGR already have a perfectly good ground that they don't fill. When you've got a choice between building something and using what you've got, the most environmentally friendly policy is to stay put, even if it's one of those terribly unfashionable concrete stadiums. But I suppose they wouldn't get any press attention that way. Second, this is an out-of-town stadium at the side of the motorway, miles from anywhere. It will only be possible to reach it by car. So forget the rolling hills in the artist's impression - this place will be surrounded by car parks, just like any other soulless new build.

Woking, Notts County XI second home?
I agree @liampie,not all of them played together at Notts (and Effiong and Mackail-Smith were only here briefly) but all bar Alan Judge played alongside Michael Doyle! To be fair though, Effiong has played for nearly everyone now and this is his third spell at Woking (he was there before he was with us). It'll be fascinating to see how they get on at least.

Match postponed
The only decision the club could have made. They look small on the picture, but if one of them falls on you you'll know about it. Football-wise it doesn't come at a bad time either. A week off would do the team good, and one or two players may be back from injury by the time the rearranged fixture is played. And Colchester are on a decent run right now and may have fancied it on Saturday.

Aaron Nemane doing the business at MK Dons
Selling him on the eve of the season didn't put out the most positive of messages, but with Grant - a long-term target - coming in I was inclined to give the club the benefit of the doubt. Now Nemane is contributing with his assists elsewhere while Jones and Grant are on the treatment table, it's safe to say this transaction hasn't gone well for us so far.

Weekly Chat Mon 2nd - Sun 8th December
Christmas stuff already @Robbie? It's only just December! Our ornaments are staying firmly in their box for at least another two weeks. And Christmas songs? I've got to echo @Fan of Big Tone: However, I did go to the local Christmas market at the weekend, where I had my first mulled wine of the season. That's allowed, because I say it is. Enjoy your VIP experience @Chris, and don't forget to tell us how the other half live!

Match Discussion: FA Cup - The Posh (A)
I want to see our strongest team out there today. Year after year we field half-strength teams in the cups and then wonder why we don't get far. Let's throw the kitchen sink at it this time. Winning today could open the door to a big draw in the third round and memories that last a lifetime. Isn't that what it's about? We're under no pressure, so let's be positive and show what we can do!

Prediction league 24/25 round 17 - Saturday 23 November
The scores are in! Luton Town 1-0 Hull City West Bromwich Albion 2-2 Norwich City Huddersfield Town 2-1 Charlton Athletic Peterborough United 1-2 Reading AFC Wimbledon 0-1 Walsall Chesterfield 1-0 Barrow Boston United 3-1 Braintree Town Tamworth 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge --- Two of you absolutely knocked it out of the park this week - congratulations to @liampie and @Robbie, who scooped 17 points each! --- This means we now have joint leaders! @Robbie jumps from fifth to top of the leaderboard ahead of @super_ram on alphabetical order, while @liampie is catapulted from mid-table obscurity right into the title race. With just six points between the top four, it's all to play for! --- As I wrote above, there's no prediction league this weekend as it's FA Cup weekend. However, there will be a round on Tuesday night, so the fixtures will be posted here tomorrow. See you all then

Weekly Chat Monday 25th Nov - Sunday 1st Dec
I got back from my UK visit on Wednesday. Normally I'd try to get to Meadow Lane when a home game is on, but this time there was a lot of family stuff to take care of (and not the good kind). On the plus side, I returned with a suitcase rammed full of Tunnock's tea cakes, Yorkshire tea, Stilton... The Christmas markets have opened here now and I'm hoping to visit my first this weekend. Darmstadt doesn't have the most thrilling market, but it gets the job done. I'll post a pic when I can

Man City demolished at Home by Spurs
Losing five games on the trot and then following it up by blowing a 3-0 lead at home is pretty extraordinary, especially when you consider that City have wiped the floor with the Premier League for the last five years or so. Against Spurs they were lacklustre and second best in every department. I don't mind it at all as it's about time we saw another name on the trophy, but you do wonder if there's been a bust-up behind the scenes. A note of caution though: they remind me a lot of Bayern in Germany. Every season, they tend to have a poor run which is seized on by the press and everybody talks about the Bayern "crisis". They then bounce back and win the league regardless because nobody can touch them. I wouldn't bet against City doing the same.
