  1. The signing of Jodi Jones is a major coup for Notts County. He is an incredible player with flair and vision, capable of scoring some amazing goals. His ability to make things happen on the pitch will be a huge asset to the team. During his loan spell, he was one of the best players in the league and it's fantastic news that he has now signed for Notts County permanently. Jones' performances during his loan spell were nothing short of outstanding. He consistently demonstrated his quality on the pitch and was a key player for Notts County. His permanent signing is a testament to his ability and the value he brings to the team. The fans will be ecstatic to see him continue to perform at a high level and help Notts County achieve success.
  2. I’m delighted that Jodi Jones has signed for Notts County permanently. He’s a class act who can light up any game with his magic. He’s got a lot of potential and he’ll only improve under our manager and coaching staff. He’s a perfect fit for our club and our fans.
  3. It would be great if the games played after reaching the 5,000 mark were better than most of those played by the club before that point. The current owners show a lot of potential to completely turn the club’s fortunes around.
  4. We need to retain our better players and sign more depth to be in a chance of finishing higher than the top half. To truly compete for a top spot, Notts will need to keep their star players and add depth to their squad. This will give them the best chance of achieving their goals and finishing in a strong position. By retaining key players and adding depth to the squad, Notts can continue to deliver strong performances on the field and compete with the best.
  5. Absolutely incredible of him to do this. Langstaff’s actions speak volumes about his character. Not only is he an incredibly talented athlete, but he’s also a standout guy who consistently goes above and beyond. His actions show that he’s not just a great player, but a great person as well.
  6. It would be absolutely splendid if Jodi Jones were to put pen to paper and pledge his future to Notts.
  7. It’s truly admirable to see the owners extending their sympathies to Chesterfield and expressing gratitude for their kind messages of congratulations. This demonstrates a high level of sportsmanship and sophistication.
  8. I hope that this group of players can give it a good go and see if they have what it takes to achieve back-to-back promotions. I’m not going to complain if the club does struggle because I believe we have a squad that will fight and do their best. Finally, we have a squad that just needs a few additions. Provided we can retain the players Luke Williams wants, we should be much stronger, at least on paper.
  9. I am overjoyed for Luke Williams and the team. They have put in an immense amount of effort to secure this promotion and it’s fantastic to see them rejoicing with the fans.
  10. What a special moment for Notts County fans! The team showed great resilience and determination to come back and win the game against a tough opponent like Chesterfield
  11. Regardless of the outcome, this season has been a fantastic journey and one that I’m confident we can build upon. I believe both teams will be determined to win, which could potentially hinder the quality of the game. However, I hope that one team will take control and open up the game, making it more thrilling to watch. I have no objections to Notts passing the ball back as long as they create good scoring opportunities. It’s important to remember that during the first 20 minutes, both teams will be sizing each other up. After that, the game truly begins. My hope is that Notts will go into halftime with a lead. Unlike Wrexham, I believe this would calm the game down since it’s being played at Wembley and force Chesterfield to be more aggressive in their play. This should result in a more end-to-end match.
  12. At least he has good intentions in going there. Some of our fans tend to nit pick over trivial matters and a few would even argue with themselves over insignificant things. In my opinion, if Ryan Reynolds wants to support Notts, that should be the end of it. No one should complain because imagine how the players would feel knowing he wants them to achieve promotion.
  13. It is important for Luke Williams and Notts County to sign Jodi Jones on a permanent basis. His talent has the potential to attract more fans to games and, more importantly, help the team win crucial matches.
  14. There are some great photos in the gallery. It's nice to see Notts fans having a good time after all these years. Games like the one on Sunday remind us why we support Notts.
  15. Even though we were down 2-0 against Boreham Wood, we rallied with determination and spirit to triumph 3-2 in extra time - an incredibly moving win.
  16. This Sunday, Notts County will be facing off against Boreham Wood at Meadow Lane. Notts finished in the 2nd position in the league, while Boreham Wood secured the 6th spot. However, Boreham Wood managed to defeat Barnet, who finished 5th, in their playoff eliminator game. There are a couple of key players to keep an eye on in this match, including Matt Palmer, who maintains a composed demeanour and acts as a link between the defence and offence, and Ruben Rodrigues, who is well-known for his ability to unlock play, create opportunities, and take shots on goal. Notts has a strong track record when playing at home, and with the game being broadcast on BT Sports and a sold-out crowd expected, fans are hoping for a solid performance. My prediction would be, 3-1 to Notts, with goals from Macaulay Langstaff (twice) and Adam Chicksen. This is certainly a match that is bound to be exciting!
  17. Macaulay Langstaff has demonstrated remarkable prowess on the pitch. While he could still benefit from some guidance from Les Bradd, there’s no disputing that he’s the premier striker below the Championship tier. With his aptitude for driving the club up the leagues, it would be splendid if Notts were able to fully harness his potential while he’s with them.
  18. It was great to see Jim bag a hat-trick in the game. His experience and skill on the field are truly something to behold. He’s a real leader on the squad and his influence is undeniable. It’s interesting to compare him to Michael Doyle, who was vastly over-appreciated in my opinion. For some reason, Jim doesn’t seem to get the same level of recognition despite being a much better player. It just goes to show how subjective these things can be.
  19. I couldn't agree any more with @TheSkipper and @Chris. Throughout this season, both clubs have benefited from the close competition and the setbacks faced earlier on seemed to give Notts the extra push they needed to succeed. Although there were some initial doubts, the team's incredible performances, record-breaking achievements, and ability to apply pressure to their rivals have been truly inspiring. Simon has done a good job highlighting the team's shift in strategy, moving away from big-name signings and instead opting for unproven players. These tactics have proven to be successful, with promising performances and a renewed hope for playoffs success.
  20. The first half did not meet the standard set this season, but fans should expect this from time to time. Earlier in the season, we had some scrappy away wins that felt like we had robbed the home team, mostly because chances came late on. When this squad clicks, the level of threat increases. I thought it was only a matter of time before we took the lead. Woking did not pose much of a threat; they had good build-up play but seemed nervous when they got goal-side. Any other team on their day would have tested Sam Slocombe more. Sam Austin was class from start to finish and deserved the man of the match award.
  21. The nerves are beginning to kick in, and the excitement is building. I sincerely hope to witness Notts demonstrate fearlessness against Wrexham. Almost every manager has claimed that we are the best team in this league. Therefore, the players must overcome their nerves and concentrate on asserting this point. If events unfold favourably for Notts, I trust that Luke Williams will encourage the team to give their all.
  22. Could the day have gone any better for Notts County? Halifax will have a number of grateful Magpie fans wishing them well from here on, and if they're the team that gives us the unthinkable chance of winning the title, we'll be all the more grateful for their 3-1 win over Wrexham. As for Notts yesterday, it was a routine victory, and I thought the players looked very eager to get the game underway and score an early goal. It was one of the best games of the season in terms of support, on-pitch performance, and everything else connected to the club. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone involved with the club was delighted with the result.
  23. I don't like how Luke Williams openly talks about the importance of Langstaff; it's tempting fate, and any of the teams in the final few games may decide to take him out. I know he's clearly one of our most important players with the number of goals scored, but speaking about how keeping him fit is just tempting fate.
  24. I hope Notts can be at the strongest lineup to face Stockport, home soil and much needed points.
  25. Notts needs to dig deep to get a positive result, Hartlepool are hard to beat at home but I am hopeful we can go 3 games unbeaten.
