  1. I’m not that fussed, provided it looks like a Notts shirt and doesn’t have any distracting or ugly patterns on it. Some of the shirts released by kit suppliers can be nasty. I get the idea, but they go overkill with the design. A nice patterned away shirt and a traditional home shirt would be nice.
  2. Their Chairman Darryl Eales said Ardley’s departure was “amicable”. The statement on the website reads better than the social media post announcing his departure. Maybe it’s personal reasons why he has asked to quit. I don’t want to speculate further because everyone deserves privacy. I just don’t think it’s due to him wanting a different job.
  3. I use Chrome on both my phone and laptop. It has become the standard these days and I don’t think other browsers make much of a difference. I used to use Firefox on my laptop when the speed difference was noticeable, but I like having everything synced. It makes it super useful to do things when I’m not at home.
  4. I think Crowley's key attributes as a player, such as getting on the ball, creating chances, and dribbling at people, will be really valuable for Notts County. Those are the kind of skills that can break down defenses and create scoring opportunities.
  5. He seems like a good signing on paper. I do feel annoyed reading ignorant comments about Sam Slocombe. I understand that he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the guy played a big role in the club’s promotion last season. Why do some fans have to single out one or two players just to hate on? I hope Aidan Stone does well for us and avoids these types of “fans”.
  6. I'm really excited about the signing of Aidan Stone as our new goalkeeper. The fact that he played a crucial role in Port Vale's promotion last season shows that he knows how to perform under pressure.
  7. I don’t dwell too much on the fixtures, as I think the players will be happy to get the new season underway and will look at what we have been handed feeling positive. I had wished we could start the season off at home, but that’s wishful thinking and more hope. I don’t mind that it begins with an away game at Sutton; it’s a fairly routine trip. I see no real negatives to point out; there are a few difficult journeys on certain days but that’s to be expected. I am hoping we will get through them without much problem; picking up the points is the aim of the game. Tough or difficult starts on paper aren’t something to worry too much about. I think we should be able to make a promising start if we work hard enough.
  8. Yes, I like this draw myself. I think Notts having a larger squad will ensure we have depth to attempt to further ourselves in the Carabao and FA Cup.
  9. All look to be solid additions to the team, but David McGoldrick is the one that I would say is my favourite signing. Jodi Jones is a game-changer and plays well within the team, as he does by himself. I just think McGoldrick will be a player that brings it all together.
  10. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @NottsLoyal. It's good to have you on here.
  11. I think he still has a chance to make an impact, but he may have to be patient. Injuries and suspensions can happen, and that's when he'll need to be ready to step up.
  12. I wish we had started the season at home, but I don’t dwell on the fixtures. I think the players will look at what we have been handed and feel happy to get the new season underway. There are no real negative points, just a few difficult journeys on certain dates, but hopefully we will get through them without a problem. Picking up points is the game; tough or difficult starts on paper aren’t something to worry too much about.
  13. They caved in because of complaints and pushed the plans further back. The club should have declined the moment they said it would be reconsidered. This just shows poor decision-making on both sides because the hope of doing something lifted the spirits of the fans who weren’t able to get down to the homecoming. So, Notts are faultless, but the way Nottingham Council has handled themselves is very poor.
  14. I don’t want Notts to have a large squad either, just for the sake of it. 24/25 is around the right amount. Any further requirements can be fulfilled with youth players to cover. Maybe one more centre back?
  15. Where is it and what was put inside? Do you know? I don’t remember hearing anything about a time capsule. Was this done many years ago?
  16. I'm absolutely baffled by the decision to sack Darren Moore. He led Sheffield Wednesday to promotion and now they decide to let him go? It just doesn't make any sense to me. If anything, they should be giving him additional support and resources to build on that success. It's a real shame to see such a talented manager treated this way.

  18. Dan Crowley’s recent time at Morecambe demonstrated his capabilities as a player. He had a fantastic debut for them. Given Notts’ current upward trajectory, I have high expectations for him at the club. I believe he will continue to develop and thrive as a player.
  19. The team’s journey has shown real character in finding our way back to the Football League. It’s a real sign of the power of perseverance and determination.
  20. I agree that this is a great signing and that he should fit in perfectly within our team. It’s good to see that we are signing players who have a lot to give and who would be wanted by other clubs similar to us. He does seem to be a good signing for a side that wants to chase promotion.
  21. Happy Birthday, @Fan of Big Tone. I hope you have a great day too.
  22. Dan Crowley is indeed an exciting signing. I hope we can get the best out of his abilities and that it doesn’t take long for him to get up to speed with us. We play a different game to Morecambe, but his days at Arsenal should help. He seems to be a good baller and I can’t wait to see him within the team.
  23. I’ve been to a fair amount of away games, but I’ve never directly spoken to any other clubs fans. I don’t eat at grounds; I either eat before or after. Pubs aren’t my scene. The easiest game for me is any that doesn’t take three or more hours to get there.
  24. I didn’t know that James Maddison and Jodi Jones were best mates, but it explains the comment. I had forgotten that they were both at Coventry. Jodi could easily be playing in the Premier League if it weren’t for his injuries.
