  1. Jim O’Brien is a great addition to the squad. Having him around the younger players and the rest of the squad with his sense of humour and care helps bring in positive thinking.
  2. I am new to Twitter, but you can follow me at @20JOSHUSA04. I have already followed about 9 people from PON. ????????
  3. It’s been said around PON by others, but Jim is a captain without the armband. He’s such a vital part of what makes this squad tick. I also agree with Allardyce’s tash. Some fans of football now will discard a loyal player just because they want someone new or exciting in the team. I can only think of one game where Jim wasn’t his usual self, so I think it’s extremely harsh. I would go as far as saying he would make my Notts XI of the last 10 years. He’s influential and such a good person. His ability is there and I agree with the thoughts expressed in the feature.
  4. Super has always been very kind and supportive; I joined here very young and through our interactions, I also look forward to seeing what he says. I felt the same about Granny but don’t want to bring too much of that up. I would like @super_ram to know I value his kindness and consider him to be a friend even though we haven’t met. Maybe one time at Notts? I hope so. Thanks for being Super, Super Ram!
  5. Would you agree with this?
  6. Jodi Jones’ free kick to set England back? We’re all wishing him well as he prepares to help Malta. It’s going to be a tough match, but I am invested in seeing how he does against some of England’s best players.
  7. These articles focusing on the fans are fabulous; this one and the one about Tony were brilliant. Tony would make a good member of PON if he came on board. Judging by his comments, he would fit in well.
  8. It’s good to read about his self-confidence in his ability. I think he’s a superb footballer and his experience is very handy to have in our squad. I hope he thrives this upcoming season and proves to those doubters that he still has it.
  9. I am impressed with David McGoldrick’s loyalty to the club. It is clear that he has joined us for the right reasons. Choosing happiness over money shows that he has a good character. Despite losing Ruben, it is an exciting time and I am pleased that he has joined us.
  10. I am delighted that Jim has stuck with us and given the club one more year. He has the experience to help influence the players and he still has the ability.
  11. Jodi Jones looks class for Malta. He plays sort of like Ronaldo did for Portugal when he was younger - with freedom and able to move into the play in order to help create it.
  12. Oxford United isn’t the most exciting team for him to join. Will he make a big impact there? I think so, but they don’t have the quality to mount a serious Championship push in my eyes and I think he will need time to adapt to seeing better players playing against him.
  13. I wish Ruben all the best. I have some great memories of him playing for Notts and I stand behind my thoughts in the discussion.
  14. This isn't the first time it's happened. I thought I had been posting in the wrong discussion, but it just happened. I went to post using the topic feed page and my post ended up in a different location. It happened here too, only just noticed that it had.
  15. Does anyone know much about him? I haven’t heard the name. His playing history seems like a signing we would have made before the Reedtz came in.
  16. He must work to earn his place on the team, but I believe he will succeed and hopefully score early on. This would boost his confidence. He speaks confidently and now that it has officially happened, we can begin assembling the rest of the squad. Despite stating in his interview with Notts that money isn't everything, I bet he will receive a decent wage.
  17. This is a good write-up. I think Notts work quite well with players with pre-existing injuries. Jodi Jones shows no fear of being taken out, which is a positive thing because I wouldn’t blame him considering his issues. I wouldn’t like to be clattered and experience issues again, yet it just goes to show how much he desires to be a good player for the club. We know what qualities Jodi has. We have a squad full of talent that teams should struggle to mark, but this for me will be the best signing come the end of the season if the last campaign is anything to go by.
  18. Jodi has earned his place in the Malta squad with his performances for Notts. I’m sure he’ll continue to impress. He has been a model professional and a team player throughout the season. He has also displayed his intelligence and awareness on the pitch. He has improved immensely under our coaching staff and I’m proud of his progress. I believe he’ll be an asset for Malta as well.
  19. Notts County can deal with conceding goals due to the high press and relapses in focus/concentration by working on their defensive organisation and communication. By staying focused and working together as a team, they can minimise these lapses and prevent goals from being conceded.
  20. I will be continuing to follow the National League. There are definitely some strong teams with a good chance of going up. Chesterfield may be the hot favourites, but it’s always exciting to see an underdog like Solihull Moors make a run for promotion.
  21. I’m looking forward to seeing what Notts County can achieve in League Two next season!
  22. I’m sorry @super_ram, but he wasn’t very good. He didn’t deserve the second yellow/red card, but he didn’t do anything noteworthy. There are young players who may not have his talent but would work much harder.
  23. Langstaff is a legend, he’s been unstoppable this season. He’s scored some amazing goals and he’s been a joy to watch. He deserves all the awards he’s getting and more. He’s a true Magpie and I’m so proud of him.
  24. So happy for Connell, he’s earned this new contract with his performances and his attitude. He’s been a solid defender for us and a great captain. He’s shown his love for the club and the fans and we love him back. He’s got the ambition and the ability to help take us to the next level.
