  1. In the grand scheme of things, the results don't really matter until the playoffs start, but it's always a good thing to keep winning. Some fans moaned about Notts losing last time, saying it was all over, but look how they responded! I'm confident that we can get promoted, as long as we avoid making the same mistakes and learn to improve from them. Woking will be a good test, as they're one spot below us, but ultimately we can afford to lose these next three games. It's the two after that we can't afford to lose.
  2. Nobody really knows for sure, we can only speculate, but I feel like he will have enjoyed his time here enough to want to stay for at least another season. He signed a three-year deal, so unless someone offers him stupid money, which would then be reinvested, I think he'll stick around. Whatever he decides, I'll respect it, but I believe both us and Langstaff have the potential to grow together. He seems smart enough to realise that he's building a legacy and a legendary status here while perfecting his craft.
  3. I might be one of the few, but we lost and we need to get over it. We don't have the right to win every game, and losing is always going to be a part of the game. Whether it's a situation like the Dagenham match where we got robbed by the officials or the Wrexham game, the players need to give their best and focus on things they can control. Personally, I refuse to cry over losing. It's not like Wrexham completely outclassed us. Let's just learn from our mistakes and move on.
  4. Welcome @Dry Nelson Ray,
  5. When you've been at a club as long as Jason Turner was, a lot of yourself ends up being put into your work. In my opinion, his biggest legacy will be the foundations he helped to build. Things at the club could've been a lot different if it wasn't for his knowledge and willingness to strive for better. It's clear to see from all the glowing things mentioned in the tribute videos that he made a huge impact. One thing that stands out to me is how he went above and beyond his typical role as a CEO. He would visit the players when they signed, and made sure that everyone was okay. It's little things like this that show how much he cared about the club and the people in it. His dedication to making sure that things were running smoothly is something that I think we will all miss. I think that Jason Turner was an incredible asset to the club and his hard work and dedication will not be forgotten.
  6. Players prior to the Reedtz brothers appear to be those on the decline, rather than on the rise. There are a few exceptions, but I believe it is a sign of how poor the recruitment used to be. Players were chosen based on chance, with little effort made to understand the dynamics of the player. I believed Zeli was good, but not very reliable.
  7. Next season, who would be against Netflix doing a rival to 'Welcome to Wrexham' and producing a 'This is Meadow Lane' mini-documentary series? Pride of Nottingham and @ARLukomski should pitch the idea.
  8. Phil Parkinson needed to talk less on BT Sports, I almost fell asleep during his segment! Aaron Mclean is so boring and frustrating, ugh. But the lineup for Notts looks strong, I hope Ruben Rodrigues shows his masterclass and teaches those Welsh **** what real football is all about!
  9. This game has become a crucial fixture, and many supporters had anticipated its significance. However, I don't believe that we should fear Wrexham; rather, we need to be defensively sound. In my opinion, throwing everything at them would be unwise. We ought to attack when the opportunity arises, maintain possession when possible, and defend courageously whenever necessary. It's crucial to avoid making rash challenges and pulling shirts, and we must be wary of their tendency to dive, particularly Paul Mullin. Notts must protect Archie Mair, preventing Wrexham from having clear one-on-one chances and blocking everything that comes our way. If we provide him with adequate coverage, I am confident that he will thwart their attempts. Let's go on the attack, create opportunities, and secure those points.
  10. None of our players played badly, but I thought some of theirs were terrible. I know they're part-timers, but it looked a lot worse than that. From poor touches, awful clearances to iffy passing, with how Notts attacked, it was easy to control them. I thought Archie Mair did well with the chances they had. To see him mug off their players multiple times was funny to see.
  11. I think Luke Williams has done incredibly well to take the pressure off and protect his players. I thought it was negative of him to say it was over, but in hindsight, I can see it's just him trying to shield the players from expectations or getting carried away.
  12. The players did incredibly well to keep their emotions and feelings in check. One thing we have to respect under Luke Williams' management is how composed the squad is. There might be spells where it's difficult, but usually, it's there, and it's one of the reasons we have done so well.
  13. Yeah, I agree mate. I reckon that all the players will be offered new deals, but it's hard to predict who will re-sign and who won't. It'll probably come down to whether we secure promotion or not, as some of the lads might want to move up a level if given the chance. However, I do have a feeling that Jim O'Brien might call it a day at the end of the season. He's been a top player for us, but he's getting on a bit now and I think he might want to focus on other things in life. It'll be a shame to see him go, but I'm sure we'll all wish him the best for the future.
  14. Mate, there's just no comparison between how Notts County plays and them. Yeah sure, they can perform well sometimes, but they're just your typical National League team. Like seriously, take a look at their results against Chesterfield and even Scunthorpe - can you honestly tell me that they played well? Nah mate, they got absolutely battered by both teams, and let's be real here, Scunthorpe are a very poor team. It's just a fact that Notts County are on a whole other level compared to them. They've got the talent, the tactics, and the overall ability to dominate on the pitch. I mean, have you seen the way they've been playing lately? It's just pure class. But hey, I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion, right? Some people just can't see the obvious.
  15. Proper chuffed to hear the good news about Scott, mate. It's always a relief when a key player's injury isn't as bad as first thought. As for Morias, I'm still well keen to see him in a Notts shirt. It's a bit gutting that his injury in training is holding him back, though. I hope he gets fully fit soon and can start contributing to the team. Having both Scott and Morias back in action could be just the boost Notts needs to really push on from here. Fingers crossed they'll both be back on the pitch soon and smashing it!
  16. I used to proper enjoy the updates that Jason Turner gave. He had a way of keeping us fans in the loop about what was happening with the club. Even when the updates became few and far between, you knew it was because the club was making strides in the right direction. It proper sucks to hear that Jason's passed away. He was such an important member of the club and a beloved figure in the community. Rest in Peace, Jason. You'll be missed.
  17. Yeah, totally agree about the free kick being questionable, but at the end of the day, a win is a win! Mair was an absolute legend and deserves a ton of credit for keeping Notts in the game. Honestly, I have so much more faith in him now. It's not easy to win away from home and keep a clean sheet, so we should be proud of that accomplishment!
  18. As I was saying on the "It's Over" topic, if we win this match, it means that Wrexham will have two games in hand, which will add pressure. Regardless of what happens on the pitch, Notts must ensure that they score enough goals to secure the victory tomorrow.
  19. The emails are a good way to remind fans, that's what caught my eye. It's proper cool to see other members coming back, this is the best spot to chat about Notts. Big up to American Pie for coming back, welcome back.
  20. I really enjoyed the game, we smashed Scunthorpe United but the way they played kinda ruined the victory for me. They were proper rubbish, like it almost spoiled the game. If it wasn't for some sick moves from Ruben, Langstaff, Austin, O'Brien, and Palmer, I reckon it would've been dead boring. I know it might sound controversial, but I don't like games where it's totally one-sided, and that's exactly what this was. I'm stoked that we won though, especially with Langstaff getting a couple of goals. The team was sick, but it's just a shame that Scunthorpe didn't put up more of a fight.
  21. This is the perfect stage for Notts County, Luke Williams is right.
  22. Notts County have a great chance to pick up three points against Scunthorpe United at Meadow Lane. The Iron have struggled on the road this season, and County will be looking to take advantage of that.
  23. I think Ruben played one of his best games yesterday, the whole team did but did anyone think Chicksen stayed back a bit more than he normally would? He barely got involved in the attacks.
  24. Lincoln looked like a Sunday league keeper, scrambling to the ball every time a pass got placed through and one of our players had to run onto it. I think he fouled Nemane, which he did not even get spoken to. The result was good, but the performance a lot better. You could see little bits that the players had been working on in training and I think it paid off.
  25. What a player he is! I like Bajrami as a person and player.
