  1. League 2 Match Thurs 27th Feb 2025. 8:00 pm kick off Barrow 0-1 Carlisle
  2. Welcome to our Pride of Nottingham community @Lullapie
  3. It has been a lovely morning & early afternoon here. Nice to get some drying weather for a change. Took advantage of the good weather to get into the garden & trim down our American lilac. It has become very large over the years & has been taking lots of light. Managed to cut it into manageable pieces to get it into the brown bin.
  4. @super_ram I can identify with your frustration. The house next door to us has been sold three times since we've been here, & every time, the new owners, have made changes to the rooms in the house, it has come with making all different types of noises. Makes you wonder if it's worth making improvements to a house before selling it .
  5. I agree with this line up but I'm not sure whether McDonald will be fit. It may be worth Maynard putting Abbott or Hinchy in the back three for this game. Abbott has played in the back three before & he's talented enough to do a job there. I agree that Tsaroulla & Traore should be in the first 11. The extra room they will have at an away match will suit them & make them dangerous to Fleetwood. It's important that Notts win this match if they can. Bradford & Doncaster care finding some form so Notts don't want any gaps to appear between themselves & these two teams.
  6. Another inevitable sacking. Worse possible time in a season for a new Head Coach/ Manager to take over. Who ever it will be is on a hiding to nothing. Just thirteen matches to turn their season around. And it's very tight between the bottom three. I personally think that it is a wrong move by Tranmere & they may rue their decision at the end of the season.
  7. Its been raining all morning here, so that has changed my plans around making some repairs to my garden fence. Will leave it tomorrow. I'm expecting a food delivery shortly so that will be another job done today. Keeping off the depressing news today. Much more better things to do around the house.
  8. I think the Reedtz brothers will stick by Maynard whether Notts are promoted or not. If Notts maintain reasonable form right up untill the end. Notts have been very unfortunate with having so many injuries this season & if Notts don't achieve promotion they won't hold that failure against him. The only caveat to that would be maintaining good & reasonable form right up until the end. If Notts falter & finish up mid table without even achieving a play off place things could be different for him. A mid table finish wouldn't be regarded as progress from last season. Update till now, there has been a marked progress.
  9. Walsall were 0-2 up on Cheltenham but were pegged back to 2-2 after Cheltenham scored both their goals in injury time. Bradford beat Bromley 0-1 to go second in the table. Notts go down to fifth after tonight's matches. Up to date table.
  10. Another nice day here but a little colder than yesterday. The neighbour had part of his fence replaced this afternoon which was a relief as some parts of it were blown down a few weeks ago. I've got to do some more work on parts of my fence tomorrow too. It hasn't fallen down or anything like that but it needs securing with post buddies. The ground is so wet at the moment. It just doesn't have the time to dry out before more rain arrives. Some good news to report. We are coming to the end of the meteorological winter in a few days, so hopefully the weather will start to reflect that & get a little warmer. We are due a nice spring and summer. Keeping an eye on the league 2 games tonight. Walsall & Bradford are playing.
  11. League 2 fixtures Tuesday 25th February: 7:45 kick offs. Bromley 0-1 Bradford C Cheltenham 2-2 Walsall Gillingham 1-2 Fleetwood Tranmere 0-1 Accrington
  12. It's been a lovely morning here with plenty of sunshine. A visit to the supermarket this morning then some time in the garden fixing post buddies to the garden fence posts. The recent strong winds have tested our fencing to the full. The post buddies do help to stabilise the posts & give them some further prolonged life.
  13. Alex Bass 8 Zak Johnson 6 Jacob Bedeau 7 Matty Platt 6 Kellan Gordon 6.5 William Jarvis 6.5 George Abbott 6 Matt Palmer 6 Conor Grant 5 Charlie Whitaker 7 Alassana Jatta 7.5 Maï Traoré 7 Nick Tsaroulla 6.5 Jack Hinchy 6 Curtis Edwards 5
  14. I think that the seven March fixtures for Notts, three being against teams we are competing with for an automatic place, may prove decisive regarding whether Notts get automatic promotion or not. If Notts can get positive results against those three teams & possibly get wins against the other four teams, we could have a very exciting end to the season for Notts fans.
  15. Your Monday Morning Weather
  16. Phoenix Club Scarborough Athletic Football Club is an association football club based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. They were formed when the original club, Scarborough FC, who were formed in 1879, were liquidated with £2.5 million debts in June 2007. 18. The poll has now closed. Thanks to all who voted. I'm pleased to announce that Alex Bass has been voted Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match for his match winning performance against Tranmere. Well done Alex.
  19. By the end of March we will probably know if Notts can get an automatic promotion spot. In March, Notts have matches against:- Fleetwood away. Barrow at home. Wimbledon away. Grimsby Away. Chesterfield at home. Crewe at home. Newport away. Positive results or even wins against three of those sides, Wimbledon, Grimsby, & Crewe who are competing with Notts, plus picking up points elsewhere could prove to be a big month for Notts. Are you confident Notts can come through those seven matches looking good?
  20. WPL Division 1 League table after today's matches. Notts go up to six place after their win today.
  21. Its been a windy and rainy day here today. Totally different from the previous day's spring like weather. Pleased that Notts won yesterday. They probably didn't deserve it on the play but wins like this one can prove vital at the season's end. Good news for the Notts women too. They scored five goals in a 5:2 win over Worcester City.
  22. I don't read papers anymore, but it's a good headline.. Can remember going down to the news agents every Saturday at 6 : 30 pm to buy the Football post. Those were the days.
  23. Player of the match goes to Lily Stevenson. Well done Lily.
