  1. These are the type of days that make me glad that I'm retired. When you are in a delivery job the rain is certainly not your friend. Even when well wrapped up it is no protection from the wet. On the other hand, the Sun can be your best friend.
  2. I don't think that Macca will ever return to Notts apart from being an interested spectator. I'm actually happy with what we have & Notts now play a little different to accommodate Jatta. Changing mid season to accommodate Langstaff would be a backward step in my opinion. I think we would be getting a tall strong striker in January to back up Jatta & Dennis.
  3. He deserves this. He has arguably been our best player since his return. I'm sure we haven't seen the best of him yet either. He's young enough to improve. Maybe a future club captain in the making.
  4. Well done for cracking it @super_ram
  5. Info from the morning HC presser. As far as the injuries are concerned McDonald is back on the grass, Jaden Luker is making good progress after his Knee operation, Kellan Gordon has done some training. Matt Palmer & Jodi Jones are in contention for a place on Saturday. Jacob Bedeau isn't suspended as he has only four yellow cards not five, so he's in contention too.
  6. Football League World is nothing more than a gossip column, so I don't really put much credence into it's reports. Personally I think that David made a big mistake leaving Notts, but he did & I think our club has now moved on. Notts have had some really good replacements for him who are scoring goals & are doing just fine. Hopefully, Notts will strengthen the squad in January with a striker & another attacking midfielder to add to the talent we already have. I'm sure Didzy will come good again at Barnsley, & I wish him well for the rest of the season.
  7. Even though we've had lots of rain during the last 24 hours, the Meadow Lane pitch looks in excellent condition for tomorrow's game.
  8. Thanks for the update @Chris Looks like there are some great developments in the pipeline.
  9. You still solved it @super_ram I had problems too. The spangram was hard.
  10. Watch out for Storm Claudia on Friday.
  11. I wouldn't buy it myself but Kudus to the club for marketing it. The number of sold shirts will probably have exceeded over 1000 by now, so it appears it was a good idea to make them available to supporters.

  16. Just for the record Grant has scored 2 goals & made 1 assist so far. He's the fourth joint highest goal scorer for Notts behind Jatta, Dennis & Hall. He has been a part of a squad that is clearly improving & getting positive results.
  17. I think that it is a big opportunity for Notts to consolidate their position in the top three on Saturday against Harrogate. Notts have won their last three league matches against Harrogate so they will be keen to extend that record against them. Harrogate are a possession based side who like to build from the back, but I would expect them to be very defensive minded & employ a high press & wait for the Magpies to make a mistake defensively. It's a similar tactics that all opponents tend to resort to at Meadow Lane. I expect Paterson will pick his strongest side available, but he will be pleased that the replacements played so well last Monday against Cheltenham. Martin may even decide to pick the starting eleven that faced Cheltenham. I think that Notts will get the win. I'm looking at a 2:0 win with Jatta & Hall the goalscorers
  18. Grant was part of the team that played so well against Cheltenham. Jatta, Hall & Dennis have scored the majority of the goals, this season, but I believe Grant is playing his part in the improvement we have seen over the last 10 matches.
  19. My choice is Jon Stead who played for Notts from 2015 to 2019, he made 162 appearances for Notts & scored 42 goals. He then transferred to Harrogate & played for them from 2019 to 2021 making 46 appearances & scoring 8 goals.
  20. It was a close vote for the Top spot between Nick & Scott. Scott has been putting in some great performances of late so I'm pleased that he won. It was richly deserved.
  21. Notts are the form team in the League so both have an excellent chance of getting these coveted award's. Good luck to both of them.
