  1. Stone is not good at distributing, a key Notts area, he cannot command his area well, and he's just average at shot stopping. They will probably keep with Stone for the next 5 important matches, but afterwards there needs to be a rethink. Either change the way Notts play out from the back most of the time, or change the goalie to someone who will be comfortable with our existing playing style.
  2. It's been a great European Track Cycling Championships for Great Britain. Josie Knight wins gold as Great Britain top medal table at track European Championships - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/67976508
  3. Notts may be in the fourth tier but this FFP rule has consequences for ambitious clubs like ourselves. The FFP benefits the six biggest clubs and in effect stops them from being challenged by the rest of the clubs in the football pyramid. I think it is absolutely an unfair system and should be abolished in favour of a simple capping system set for each league to ensure there is fair competition. The rich clubs won't like it because all their riches won't matter if they are capped to the same amount as the other PL clubs. There just has to be a fairer system to benefit all clubs. Even the parachute payments to relegated PL teams is unfair to Championship Clubs. Just look at the Championship table. It stares you in the face.

  5. Today's match against the bottom club Sheffield at Dronfield ended in defeat. Sheffield 1 Notts C 0 Notts remain third from the bottom.
  6. Sixty goals scored, a great achievement so far, Macca has a third of them. We won't mention the goals conceded, just to say that we've scored more than we've conceded.
  7. It was 3, 2, 1 with Ted Rodgers. 1978 to 1988. Dusty Bin was star of the show.
  8. Met Office verdict on freezing blizzard this week with UK set to be colder than Iceland. 11. Maca now just six goals away from making it 100 goals in his last three seasons. 32 at Gateshead, 42 last season for Notts, & the first player in the EFL to reach 20 this season. His value is now in the £millions. Notts have made a great investment, on and off the field. And there's much more to come from our Goalscoring talisman.
  12. The big big plus is Notts score goals. A team that can come back from two goals down and then be behind twice more, then get themselves into a position to win the match, just demonstrates that Notts have the best attacking threat in this league
  13. Never has a player been so missed as Matt has been since his injury..The day will be a big day for us when he returns.
  14. Stone needs to be replaced for the match at home to Stockport.
  15. Notts County 1 Southampton 0 August 1991 featuring our great defender, Dean Yates.
  16. Panthers 2nd match of a double header in Belfast ends in defeat.
  17. Notts have now played their 27th game of the Season, since their return to League 2. They finished last season on 117 goals from 46 Games in the National League plus the 5 goals they scored in open play in the two playoff games. So in 73 league games since the beginning of last season, not counting the playoffs, Notts have scored 177 goals, a remarkable number, which relates to an average of 2.42 goals scored per game, & with our current style of play & our current attacking force, there seems no end to it. If this current rate of scoring is maintained, Notts will surpass 100 goals again this season, which would be a fantastic achievement. The number of goals that we are conceding is very much a concern, & the Management will want to address it very quickly. What we do know is that Notts are a big threat to any opposing defense in this league and every team will be wary of us, home or away. If we can sort out our defensive frailties in our last 19 games, I am still very optimistic that we can make the playoffs, & if we do, no team would want to face us, with the damage our attacking force can wreak on them.
  18. @Fan of Big Tone .Stal mentioned the balance of the team. it may not be just the defensive problems. Players not tracking back when they should.Too much space for teams to exploit. We've seen that all season. One positive thing. We didn't give up and we showed character to come back. And a point on the road, stopped the consecutive defeats on the road. .
  19. So am I we've scored 60 goals but let in 52 only three teams in the league have conceded more.
  20. We'd be top of the league if we had a decent defence. It ends 5:5
