Perhaps a reason why Notts are still awaiting signings
- Where's All The Money Gone?
Nothing to do with lack of ambition. All to do with sustainability. Unless of course you have the odd million or two to through down the drain. Surely recent NCFC history clearly demonstrates that?- Perhaps a reason why Notts are still awaiting signings
https://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/football/kevin-nolan-explains-why-really-poor-decision-by-efl-may-force-cobblers-to-wait-for-signings-5239612?r=6622- Newport News
Lives there. I'd prefer him to do some proper radio or analysis stuff while he gets his next post rather than this.- Newport News
Hospitality | Luke Williams spec...Hospitality | Luke Williams special guest for Notts Count...Worth all of the Β£65 π€£- Is there something wrong with our club?
@piedestrian absolutely! Nothing at all wrong with the club. We've had a very productive and progressive 6 years and while it would be nice to have seen players A, B and C earlier we should all be very confident the Brothers and their management know what they are doing. Keep the faith and no negative waves (as the man said).- Paterson post Stuttgart
A = GK, definitely. B = Striker, definitely C = Attacking midfielder, probably? Or another Striker, maybe? If Christmas comes early this year then maybe we get D as well which means we get two Strikers and a midfielder π- Paterson post Stuttgart
Well if he can convert his inspirational words into inspirational play he has my vote. Looking forward to seeing these new players A, B and C- Whew! It's not MK !
I think @The Anti-Clough you have summed it up perfectly π- Whew! It's not MK !
https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2025/july/09/david-mcgoldrick-signs-for-the-reds/- Alfreton
@menzinho agree. Definitely more forthright and persuasive. Nothing against Stuart but I think he did lack a little conviction sometimes.- Alfreton
I too thought he came across very well. Though as @Robbie says let's see what happens on the pitch in Germany. That should be a good test.- Alfreton
Post match interview with MP was impressive. Yes? No?- Harry Griffiths to Notts.
@Pies79,he won't need to share a room then?- Bass has been sold to Posh for a 'substantial' fee
@McPie I'm sure you are right. It's not as though we have two or three other options in the club? Surely they were expecting this and have a plan B. Oh please π π- Can I get some stuff off of my chest about Notts?
The concensus seems we need 2 or maybe 3 quality players to fill the gaps in attack and midfield left by Didsy and Crowley. Not squad players, but starters. If those types of players are signed in the next few weeks we will all feel a lot happier. I don't believe it will be sooner as Paterson will surely want to see what resources he has before he can provide input to the recruitment process. The tour to Germany is another good piece of planning by the Brothers to enable this to happen. So, who do we get by the end of July? Starters or squad players? That will speak volumes as to how this season will play out.- Fixture release day
MP must know someone in high places ? He couldn't have wished for an easier first 10 games to be judged by. Looking at odds checker by the end of September we play: Salford, Gillingham 12s (same as Notts) Shrewsbury, Crawley 25s Crewe 33s Barrow, Bromley, Tranmere, Fleetwood at 40s Newport 100/1 to start. All best wishes to Martin and The Technical crew for a fast start π- Fixture release day
Chesterfield away MK home Bristol away Salford home Gillingham away Walsall home That should provide a bit of excitement and debate π€- New head coach Martin Paterson
I'd morphed him with Richard Edwards RIP and Nottinghamshire Cricket leading the championship π- RIP Dick Edwards
- RIP Dick Edwards
I've found a couple of things that maybe are worth remembering even as we contemplate a new reign. Dick Edwards at Centre Forward in 1964- New head coach Martin Paterson
Just listened to his interview and from being 'who is this?' I'm moving toward 'very assured and impressive '. Do you remember Stuart Maynard 's first interview? 'Like, look...'. And then listened to Andy Flowers. It is all starting to make an awful lot of sense. Relax and enjoy the ride!- New head coach Martin Paterson
He needs a lot of luck as his track record is patchy at best and has only 20 matches at Burton as experience. Let's hope he gets off to a good start before the keyboard warriors star to circle. Fingers crossed π€ he's a rough diamond that just needs a little polish.- What's Behind the Delay to Appoint a New Head Coach?
It's done. Denmark lose and Notts appoint Paterson. Lots of technical stuff with his assistants. I just have a nasty feeling he's going to need them. π- What's Behind the Delay to Appoint a New Head Coach?
Denmark v France 5pm tonight might provide the answer π€ - Where's All The Money Gone?
