  1. Last 4 years 3rd place were: Bradford 78pts Mansfield 86pts Northampton 83pts Bristol Rovers 80pts So yes 85 points should do it, maybe 83 as this year is very competitive unlike the run away year of Stockport, Wrexham and Mansfield. Is a further 22 points achievable? 6 wins, maybe. 4 draws, fingers very crossed. Only 3 defeats. It's squeaky time ๐Ÿ˜
  2. Isn't Luker injured and hoping to come back? It so that makes 8 out and 8 stay. 50%. Is that good, bad or indifferent?
  3. Has to be L1 in my opinion. We will do well to make the automatics this year given some really tough fixtures remaining. And then it will be the playoff lottery. So anything could happen. I just hope that the Brothers keep the faith with MP as I feel he has the attributes to be a successful manager at this level. If he can't make it this year then, maybe next or even the year after. It won't be easy as some wild investors will come in again to another club and try to do a Wrexham or MK.
  4. League 1 for all the above reasons so very well explained.
  5. Definitely! Play to our strengths I'm sure will be MP's approach. If it's working, don't fix it .
  6. Totally agree @McPie . I feel MP has shown he has significant influence on the technical board. The signings of Ndlovu and Belshaw are clearly designed for the now in Division 4, while the others are a nod to the near future. In the case of Enoru and Tangen perhaps the not too distant future.
  7. Bit of a theme here. We ship all of our unwanted to the extremes of the union: Kyle Cameron, Traore, Roos and now Jarvis. ๐Ÿค”
  8. I almost feel more nervous about playing these teams than I do about the teams in the top 10. Let's hope MP has instilled a robustness that we have seen lacking in the last two seasons.
  9. After tonight's result maybe the display on New Year's Day wasn't quite so horrible ๐Ÿ˜•
  10. Yes, he was 91 according to reports. I just remember him from the early 60s watching with my grandad from Spoon Kop. George Smith, Ivan Hampton, Bert Loxley, Gibson era seems to ring a bell. Need to dig out the old programmes again ๐Ÿค“
  11. Wishing them well. And they are not in League 1 ๐Ÿ˜Š Sorry, League 2
  12. Agree @McPie . Just listened to his interview and he comes across very well. Very clear of his role and how he would fit in. An old fashioned Division 4 forward ๐Ÿค”.
  13. Sounds one for next season or last 10 games at best. Norwegian leagues run from March to November so can't see he'll be match fit. Looks promising though.
  14. Hasn't scored many for Barnet. 9 in 40. They just signed Tshamanga so I guess they wanted to move him on? I feel the window has been good, 7 out of 10 and a cultured midfielder would make it 9 out of 10. Not sure I quite understand this one though? Answers on a postcard please...
  15. It just popped up as these things do. Great isn't it? Not sure what Donald Trump would make of it ๐Ÿค”. When we were last in the nest we had a very good Bratwurst from the pop up stand. Shame he missed it and had to settle for ๐Ÿ•.
  16. Be nice to see Traore do well and get some confidence. He might then get a shout at Notts next season. Well you can hope ๐Ÿ™ƒ. Paul Mace said this morning Cotters loan may not have a break clause โ˜น๏ธ. The business has been good so far. Just need that creative, experienced, pacey, aggressive, mature, goal scoring No 10. ๐Ÿ˜†
  17. @gtownjohnno in today's interview MP said it hasn't worked for Cotterr suggesting his loan is over. It's good to see Notts unloading which will hopefully free up space for more signings.
  18. @theAnticlough has it spot on IMO. In any team game you need 1/3 very good, 1/3 good and 1/3 competent or there abouts for success. I'd take Belshaw for one but the playmaking, number 10, attacking midfielder whatever will be crucial for a chance of automatics. We need more than just the spirit and grit that MP has installed to unlock tight defences. Sadly JJ looks out of sorts and I can't see any of the young loan signings or any player without significant experience being able to provide the answer. I like the sound of Browne and Enoru but they are probably both for the future, or at least 10 games down the line in Enoru's case as coming from part time is a big ask. Could be an exciting January!
  19. In January? Probably is not a bad call. Less risky than a young keeper on loan for 6 months

  21. Harrogate AdvertiserNotts County target Belshaw set to leave Harrogate Town i...Simon Weaver has confirmed that he expects James Belshaw to leave Harrogate Town in the coming days after reaching an โ€œagreementโ€ for his sale.
  22. Looks like him. Not sure from the angle though.
  23. Kent OnlineGalinson invests millions as Gillingham's losses increaseGillinghamโ€™s latest accounts reveal an increase in recorded losses, which now stand at more than ยฃ13m.So is sustainability key or do you risk ยฃ5m a year in debts for however long and hope it works? Or do you build prudently like the Brothers? Personally, I support Prudence. (She could also do a shift in goal if pushed!)
