I couldn’t understand why he didn’t bring Jatta on in a game that was crying out for a different approach, I think Jatta could have caused a few problems for the Wimbledon defenders and maybe create a few chances. I was pleased that the fans stuck behind the team and I didn’t see any real toxicity at the match, a few moans and some boos at the end of the match but on the whole supportive.

It’s a bit worrying that Stuart Maynard says we aren’t equipped to deal with balls in the box! We can’t go out and sign anyone so if we aren’t equipped we’re stuck with conceding goals. I wonder if he’s thinking just go and attack and hope to score more than the opposition but the goals have dried up too. So what is the answer?

I’m going to the match this afternoon, grandson George doesn’t want to come because of all the negativity, I fear we’ll lose supporters if it carries on. The thing I remember most about that season was Big Sam singing “We are the Champions” whilst holding the trophy aloft.

Wimbledon have kept two clean sheets in the last two games so they are pretty solid defensively, we will need to break them down, they will defend well and try to attack on the break so we need to be wary of that and crucially defend set pieces better. I’d happily settle for a drab 0-0 most of the game and get a winner on 90+3.

I really hope we can get a result against Wimbledon, I’m not sure yet whether to go, I hate the negativity, toxic atmosphere when things aren’t going well. Good luck to the lads.
