Good morning, are we all looking forward to the weekend? I know I am, tonight it’s curry night and now my stomach has healed we are having one of our favourites lamb and spinach. Cooked by Mrs. t’s own fair hand. Tomorrow I’ll be down the lane of course cheering on the boys to a sensational win (he said hopefully). Sunday the family are coming round to help us devour a leg of lamb which will be marinaded beforehand with herbs and spices, mmm should be good. Whats everyone else doing this weekend or what have you been doing if you’re reading this late?

Scott seems to be fitting in really well, he’s a good addition to the squad and his performances have improved with every match, let’s hope he continues to perform well.

Loan players coming in can be a huge benefit at times when the squad needs strengthening because of injury or to boost a promotion push or fight against relegation. We’ve certainly seen some great players come in on loan as mentioned in the article but there have also been disappointments, I think it’s important to get the right kind of player, a hungry young player from the Premiership or Championship can be a huge boost to clubs like Notts. I’m also in favour of our own young players going out on loan to gain experience of competitive games thereby preparing them for a time when hopefully they can make the step up to the first team. It’s a win win in my opinion.

I’m looking forward to the game, Maynard talks confidently whilst giving respect to the opposition. It should be a good game.

Too late, I already am. It’s not just Notts fans or football fans in general, I think society as a whole has developed a selfish mindset over the years, there isn’t much empathy around these days sadly. ☹️

Spot on @upthepies we have had some good performances but we do need to start being clinical and taking chances when they come. Hopefully we can keep defensively strong and capitalise on chances during the game and get three points. I’d take a 1-0 win.

I certainly wouldn’t be able to stand for a whole match and would be very annoyed if fans block my view, good job I don’t go to away matches.

I don’t know why having goal line technology would lead to VAR, I can’t see the EFL getting VAR anytime soon, it would be very expensive, maybe the championship but certainly not the lower leagues.

Football is awash with money especially at the higher levels, I believe that goal line technology would be really beneficial to bring in at the lower levels. We can see from the Premiership where it is used that it doesn’t disrupt play unduly, a quick look at his watch by the ref and the game is either stopped because a goal is given or it continues because the ball didn’t cross the line. Its a no brainer and would stop the controversial decisions once and for all.
