Notts County complete the signing of former Manchester City free agent Ed Francis
looks like a strong signing especially for the future, he could be the long term replacement for michael doyle.

18-year-old Notts County prospect 'over the moon' to have signed his first professional deal
he could be a big part of the clubs future if he keeps level headed, focused and always determined to improve. i think the fact he wants to go out on loan signals his desire to learn further.

Triple boost for Notts County after a tough and frustrating season
the start of more positive news ???????? rawlinson and cameron should make a great partnership at the back. having slocombe calmness behind looks very promising on paper.

Match Discussion: Play Off Semi Final - The Gulls (A)
its a big game, pressure will be on both teams and i think whoever gets the edge of the game early on should come out on top.

Ian Burchnall urges his Notts County side to remain focused for the upcoming playoff clash against Torquay United
we need to stay grounded and focused, more importantly the nerves needs to be avoided because it got to us in the final last season. i think we just need to work a bit harder and tidy things up at the back.

Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Terras (H)
i thought i had commented on this on the way home, it felt like a true performance by notts and one which sent a message that we wanted to secure the playoffs. the hard work has not finished but what a fantastic team performance. i thought miller was class, he got stuck in and made a right nuisance of himself but i do think rodders made the biggest impact. hes keen to keeping his scoring going.

Match Discussion: Game 42 - The U's (H)
it happens, sometimes you have to cut people a bit of slack. as obvious as it was, hes still by far one of the most hardworking players we have.

Match Discussion: Game 42 - The U's (H)
good win, lifted some pressure off ian burchnall who appeared much calmer in his press conference. spoke well about the game and how we performed with just 10 men. i am not sure why some fans are berating dke for getting sent off. these things do happen unfortunately and he usually does much better.
-
Match Discussion: Game 43 - The Bees (A)
i can see a loss happening and then for more fans to kick off wanting burchnall out.
-
Match Discussion: Game 40 - The Gulls (A)
god knows how the referee felt the extra time was fair, but i knew once it went past 5 minutes that they would pull level only to see the whistle blown for full time. dont quote this, as we should have buried the game well before this. the first 75 minutes we could and should have nailed them. i see no improvements though under the new manager when it comes to defending leads, it would not be as disappointing if it was not for the fact we needed the points. the win would have been a good thing for us, but the defending needs to be better.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - Pools (A)
i think it will be close, possibly a 1-1 draw. tom crawford to play a blinder just because he can?

Maisie-Grace Titherley: An appeal
notts fans are incredible with their support, i hope mg gets it. best wishes

Match Discussion: Game 36 - The Cardinals (A)
a game of two halfs football. thought we did much better in the second half, countered and looked stronger. by no means perfect but we started somewhat better than we did against wrexham. it just went to pieces with poor defending and giving the ball away. i have to add, knowles might not be a finished product but at his age who cares? i think he has a job to do on loan here, i have said it before. a player like him wont be scoring week in and out or playing overly well but with confidence he comes alive. unstopptable today and did very well.
-
Match Discussion: Game 35 - Red Dragons (H)
wrexham have done well but they lose their spark but so far they have done everything which we would want of notts. wootton has no support and nobody feeding the ball to him, hes just holding it up. its pretty dull watching.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - Red Dragons (H)
i think its time for a change to the formation, our manager has spoken about wanting to attack but things so far have still be like they were under ardley. i would be curious to see what would happen if we played alone striker with 3 cms and the wingers supporting the striker. if roberts starts we should have some creativity out wide, then enzio or rodrigues could go on the other side. with doyle playing a deeper role, reeves to support and crewe lad in a free midfield role.
-
Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Shots (H)
right now i feel we are the masters of our own downfall, losing 1-0 does not worry me but the performance was not good at all. the players need to setup and work for each other, i think we will have a period where we are unflattering but i do hope the new manager starts to understand things.
-
Match Discussion: FA Trophy semi-final: Hornchurch (H)
im not bothered either we can focus on the league and we should all know performances will only improve over time.
-
Match Discussion: Game 32 - The Wood (A)
boreham wood seem to like to play attacking football but in the highlights i have seen defensively they can be quite poor. if we create enough, i think we can get a good result. i really fancy wootton to grab his first hattrick here.
-
Match Discussion: Game 30 - The Shaymen (H)
@Dripsey3 i think notts needs to be more fired up to win, i feel some of the problems are the players when games are called off or suspended. i think those who blame neal ardley out right are being unfair and i question how a different manager could do better? i suppose if someone who gave the squad confidence and fired them up it might help, but the players dont do this themselves enough. the results have been hit and miss, but in form we cant help what happens when other teams are hit with covid.
-
Match Discussion: Game 27 - The Hatters (A)
@DangerousSausage its obvious that notts struggles to keep consistent when games are postponed, i doubt its all that but the fact the midfield needs to be more creative in the centre of the park. i dont think the doom and gloom is fully justified but i understand that performances need to be better. its just one of those patches though. notts are the type of team to have this rough spell and somehow still manage to push on for promotion. im not worried, neal ardley is still the right man for me.
-
Match Discussion: Game 27 - The Hatters (A)
i think the issue is we need to try to recover from the breaks, when we play consecutively notts does quite well. i dont know if training can fill the gap of playing a proper league game but we need to manage this situation better. i think golden might be the only change, is slocombe available for this game?
-
Match Discussion: Game 24 - Daggers (H)
very good result, when slocombe got sent off i thought it would end in defeat or a draw at the least. ruben did very well to smash his goal in, kyle is starting to crop up where needed but his 2nd was a stunner in its own right. i thought doyle did well in goal, perhaps not as much as some keep banging on but if it annoys dagenham then it worth it. great result.

Notts County vote on the outcome of the 2020-21 National League season
it should continue but the checks players have need to be done a little better, especially on match days temperatures should be checked on arrival and just before kick off. suspending the league or null and voiding it would be stupid, it puts the whole thing into a pointless area.
