  1. firstly, i hope the fans who experienced heart attacks are fine. this is something i am being serious about. i was talking to a steward about the flashing lights of the ambulance. he told me 3 supporters had heart attacks. forest green played some good football, if we had defended better at times then it would not have been so difficult or something which people would be criticising to the point where it over looks the result. it should not because we were good, two good teams playing each other and that will lead to games like this at times. we may experience a boring 1-0 win, so nobody can win. notts showed their class in both halfs in attack, we always looked like we could get a good move going and put the ball in the back of the net. i think fgr looked less likely to score, but still played well. i am happy with the game as it was exciting to watch. i really hope the fans are okay, thats the main thing.
  2. that is the flw and that other similar in a nutshell. they dont know our club well enough to maintain a flow of good content, so they pipe out things like this. i lost interest in them seasons ago, due to all the clickbait and articles spreading false rumours. false stories at times too, but they get fans support for no effort at all.
  3. i dont think connell rawlinson will have tweet because of drinking. otherwise i agree with your opinion. however, rawlinson is entitled to his opinion and its no business for anyone to weigh in on. to say that connell is out of order for tweeting, then we need to take a closer look at what many of our fans say and do because we are no saints.
  4. it was great to see notts comeback after fgr managed to get on level terms, they played well but we ideally should have finished the second half a lot more straight forward without the worry of them. i think we did get to then go 4-2, then 4-3. i would rather have these games happen every now and then, without worrying or reading into the goals we conceded because it made the day more memorable.
  5. i still dont think their penalty was the right call, i see rawlinson with his foot out but their player seems to be looking to go down. i cant make out the contact, at the game it looked like a dive. just like deeney did earlier on and was not booked for diving despite it being clear. notts really made it harder for themselves but the result is all that matters.
  6. i totally forgot about him, but it is good to see hes still playing league football. he has to have something about him if he can continue despite all his injury issues. it might have impacted his game time and career somewhat, but if he has a love of football just playing professional considering everything seems a good reward.
  7. i would like to see luton stay up but i dont think its likely, they will be enjoying it and they do seem to be giving it their all. i just hope they dont overspend but use this season as a means to keep them within a steady position to do a bournemouth in time. rather than a blackpool.
  8. what a shocking result, i wonder how many of their main team played or if its a case of throwing on too many youngsters. i doubt their fans will care because its only the efl trophy even though conceding 9 is shocking.
  9. everyone who has not replied, you lot are boring! here is your chance to do something fun and you dont comment, its disappointing. my favourite film is 1981s time bandits. its always been one of the films i would look forward to seeing when it was shown on tv, its a good family film that keeps you wanting to watch. when i was younger, i did not know it was directed by a member of the monty python. it does have some funny parts in it though, which i do like the life of brian and other films of montys.
  10. i am at meadow lane tomorrow as to be suspected, sunday i will be going to my mums again. i dont have to fetch shopping or anything like that, i did it today after work. sunday dinner will be on the cards though. when i head home, depending on the weather i might swing past a friends to see how they are.
  11. first time i have felt like changes could have a large positive impact on football, i noticed they did talk about what happens a owner lost a license and could they force the club to sell. i think they are wrong about chelsea tho, roman abramovich wanted out before the uk started putting pressure on him. i dont think they made him sell the club, so that seems off but if it could work it would make football safer. i would imagine it would prevent some from trying to buy clubs too, as it increases the risk.
  12. hello, welcome to the pon site and community @Ryan Raynor. thank you for supporting and helping with the upkeep, that is admirable dedication.
  13. i think it should be a lively game but i am less nervous than our previous last 3 home games, i hope this does not come back to haunt me but i feel confident that notts can start brightly and finish with a good result.
  14. jodi is an incredibly gifted player, that deserves to represent his nation and its nice to have this kind of player here at notts county. he does thrive when being called up, so hopefully, he can play a big part in tomorrows game against forest green. we need someone like he that can be direct and change the outcome of a game with his ability. hes a great addition to the squad.
  15. this is a great story of adam, is this not what being a notts fan is all about? its great to see that hes involved his daughter, i was never into football into my early teens. so i can imagine its a nice thing they can bond over. you are doing notts proud adam, keep it!
  16. when salford comes to meadow lane i will be sure to keep an eye on how theo does.
  17. Leeds United 1-0 Watford Swansea City 3-1 Sheffield Wednesday Cambridge United 0-1 Port Vale Portsmouth 2-1 Lincoln City Morecambe 0-2 Swindon Town joker Stockport County 1-3 Wrexham Gateshead 1-0 Maidenhead United Oldham Athletic 0-0 Oxford City
  18. its a interesting read, i did not think so many of the last 20 years or so would feature the most in a list like this.
  19. its good that we can pick up players on free who give us more quality and depth, but i can see notts signing a couple for a fee once the transfer window opens up. nothing wrong with looking at the irish or scottish league tho.
  20. i agree with @Chris, cheltenham will always be struggling in league one and are doing well just to be there. i think sacking the manager in hope that they will pick up enough points to avoid the drop is very naïve thinking.
  21. @Fan of Big Tone please dont offer it me. i thrive in the dark, enjoy late night flights and despise garlic. i might not instantly tell, but i am sure i would notice eventually.
  22. its a great goal, its good to see archie mair involved with the move. gateshead seem to be drawing inspiration from us.
  23. i used to love watching the comedy panel shows but they have become very repetitive and usually quite mean spirited, i get the harmless poking of fun at each other but some can go too far just for a laugh. i also like watching russell howard, i think he pokes fun of things in a humorous and down to earth way. tommy cooper was a very funny act, a bit like ken dodd. so many greats from those days.
  24. it will be interesting to see how he does at port vale, hes got a lot about him and i know many notts fans hoped he would sign for us. we may have other plans, but hes one to watch for sure.
  25. hes not living up to the potential, maybe if he settles down and does well in the national league he can climb back up the leagues?
