  1. i wont be using it but it has been needed for ages, its good that it helps reduce the crowding around that end of the kop too. it should have a big impact on serving fans and increasing profits.
  2. i think they made a mistake by not starting jodi jones because they had some chances which a player of his quality could have put away in the first half, malta were never going to win but it was great to see jodi play against england again. it was nice to hear the name drops of notts county too, sometimes i still find it hard considering all the awful years i have supported notts that we have a player of his quality. this current squad we are blessed to have but i am thankful even more that jodi jones signed the deal keeping him here at the start of the season.
  3. i like that luke williams is acknowledging bradford city might be completely different to how they have been in previous games. hes right we do have to focus on ourselves and if we are strong defensively, then it should make it all the more exciting but we need to attack and ask questions. if we do play to the level we can, meadow lane should be rocking tomorrow despite the cold.
  4. Blackpool 1-0 Shrewsbury Town Stevenage 0-2 Lincoln City Gillingham 2-1 Salford City joker Harrogate Town 0-0 Swindon Town Sutton United 1-2 Tranmere Rovers Dorking Wanderers 0-1 Boreham Wood Ebbsfleet United 0-0 Oxford City Rochdale 2-0 Aldershot
  5. the clip did make me laugh when he spoke about burchnall, but i think the topic of williams leaving to oxford is not one the show should have had in my opinion. the bookies odds does not always mean something, whereas sites and twitter account with no creditability should not be taken seriously. then again, from the fans perspective a lot were worried and that might just validate a serious discussion but i think its all red herrings.
  6. yeah, luke williams is focused on us and there are so many sharks out there spreading false stories, i dont blame williams for staying focused i am just glad its been squashed. i understand why some fans would be worried, we are in the best health and position we have been for a number of years, with good owners and coaching staff that helps our manager do what he needs to be done. oxford are not able to offer this, even with ruben rodrigues there. we have a mission to complete, williams seems focused on that 100%.
  7. i think despite their form and inconsistency it will be a another tough game. the last time i recall playing bradford in a season where we looked promising was the start of the 09/10 season where lee hughes scored his hattrick and we hammered them. mark stallard will also probably have split feelings having played for them but i just hope that we can show our true character on saturday and push for the 3 points. after the crewe game, a win would show we are not about to let our position slip too far.
  8. welcome to pon @Samuel Morris.
  9. welcome to pon @Callumpie, nice to have you here.
  10. its a bit of a nothing story, picked up from others who have reported much of the same. they could have tried to get a statement from the efl, or the people directly involved. i think if an official cant do the job in difficult circumstances then they should not be in the game. players get abuse and comments expressed week in and out, some of which i am sure makes them a bit nervous but you just get on with it. i do think items should not have been thrown but god help the assistant referee if he was in the game when darts and stuff were thrown.
  11. he was never going anywhere, its just idiots trying to leach hits by scaring our fans who quite rightly would be concerned but i think we need to trust the process. i never felt he was going to oxford, i dont trust half of these football website. our fans should trust the bbc, sky and pon to report the truth. now lets focus on the bradford city game.
  12. amazing feats in the history of our club, tommy Lawton gave notts a period were we bloomed and meadow lane must have been thrilling to watch him entertain fans on the pitch with his brilliance. i remember roy carroll playing against coventry for us after previously playing the night before for northern ireland. his level of commitment was impressive!
  13. if meadow lane were to have safe standing, it would just be a designated area where fans can stand if they want. they might even put in those seats that fold out when you stand in case you do want to take the weight off your feet. personally, i think it could be a good thing especially for generating a zone where the atmosphere might be spot on. personally, i would want a seat but i trust notts if they were to consider this that they would be a far better job than salford.
  14. it glides as softly as a cloud
  15. i did not expect any questions about the trouble, but i thought the interview would be a bit more than it is. it was very simple compared to normal, i respect the decision to leave Luke Williams to reflect on things but there are a few questions which could have made it bit more informative. such as the decision to drop aidan stone, i dont think sam slocombe did anything wrong but its a call which makes a lot of change leading into a big game away from home.
  16. yesterday i was at the crewe game, i was not really entertained by the game and thought we could have done better. the trouble towards the end of the game is being focused on our fans, but the crewe stewards were very eager to cause trouble. i dont think we did ourselves any favours with throwing things at the assistant ref, but the way everything is being blown out of portion and the trouble fans who was not doing anything had was very shocking. today i am just relaxing because i feel its really needed to unwind after yesterday.
  17. i will stay at home and watch the live stream, if it dont clash with work. i dont think it should be it would still be easier for me to watch it online. its been awhile since we did one of these so it will be good.
  18. seeing the highlights, it looks like its his arm not under his arm pit. if this happened against us we would want the same outcome. it needs to be accepted and moved on from
  19. i think he will end up bringing in loans to oxford if he gets the oxford job. i dont think he knows league one football enough to do a proper job, he seems to favourite bringing in expensive players and his time at derby was more down to the clever loans he managed to secure when derby were a very good championship team.
  20. its going to end a draw unless notts works out how to get behind crewe, aaron nemane had a touch of class and almost got on the score sheet. crewe are looking the better of the two, we need to pass the ball better at times.
  21. yes, i think the game is going to be difficult but the inclusion of Dan Gosling will be a big thing for us. i am interested to see how he does stepping in and despite wishing jodi jones could play, we have plenty of other options. its a good chance for adam chicksen to come in.
  22. i like reading posts like this and seeing comments from people who remember it like it is the pictures. it gives me something, as i do also like seeing the pictures. nottingham has changed no end and i think we are lucky to have such a nice looking station in the city centre. i think it was ruined a bit with the roof when it last had work but the main building is gorgeous.
  23. this will be my first time at their ground, i am hoping the weather is not too bad and that the parking is not a nightmare. i think we should be up for the game, stockport managed to beat them but they do make things hard. they can also dismantle teams and play off par. it all depends which of their team turns up. likewise, we need to be at our best. i dont think the game is going to feel comfortable to watch, i just have this feeling like they will be the first to score and we have to dig deep in order to make something of it. if we dont give macaulay langstaff the ball, not just in scoring positions but before that, then we are not giving him the chance to get involved which i think does lift confidence.
  24. this is a brilliant post for nostalgia reasons and for giving us younger fans an insight into what it was like.
