Notts County retains key player Jim OβBrien for another season
I think Jim OβBrien is a superb veteran of the game. I know he mentioned that he dislikes the word βexperiencedβ because some fans use it as a throwaway comment. Yet, I donβt mean it in those terms. Heβs a calm, focused midfielder who wants to defend and get forward. What he lacks in advanced years, he makes up for with the knowledge heβs picked up. His football mind is always switched on, and itβs incredible to see him think ahead of much younger players. To have him remain as a firm squad player is just a good boost to the squad. With Ruben Rodrigues departing, itβs good to have someone like Jim who can crack a joke or offer support to the surrounding players.

David McGoldrick Signs Two-Year Contract with Boyhood Club Notts County
I was wrong about this deal. David McGoldrickβs interview made me see that he is not coming back to Notts for a sentimental reason. He genuinely wants to help the club and he still has a lot of passion and quality to offer. He is not afraid of the challenge and he can inspire the rest of the team with his experience and skill. I apologise for being too harsh and cynical. I hope McGoldrick proves me wrong and shows everyone what he can do at Notts. I hope he enjoys his return and makes us proud. He deserves our respect and support, not our doubt and criticism. Welcome home, David McGoldrick!

Jodi Jones: A New Hope for Notts County
Jodi Jones was Coventryβs key man against us every time we played them. You could see he shined around good players, and we now offer him the chance to revive his career, which I believe he has taken and ran with. Jodi Jones is a great addition to the team. He has shown his worth in the recent play-off defeat, and Iβm sure he will continue to do so. His pace and skill on the ball make him a real threat going forward, and he has already scored some important goals for us this season. Iβm excited to see what he can do in the future.

What would you say to the Reedtz brothers?
I would say something like, "Thank you so much for saving our club from extinction and bringing us back to the Football League. You have shown great ambition and vision with your signings and your support for the manager. You have transformed Notts County from a laughingstock to a force to be reckoned with. You are the best owners we could have ever hoped for."

Jodi Jones could face England after Malta call-up
Jodi has been instrumental in our promotion and Iβm sure heβll do us proud on the international stage. He has been a consistent and reliable performer throughout the season. He has also contributed to our defensive solidity and offensive flair. He has been a great ambassador for our club and our fans. I wish him all the best for his debut with Malta.

Who are the defenders Notts County could sign to improve their defence in League Two?
The victory in the promotion playoff final must have been a thrilling moment for the players. Their attacking prowess has clearly been a key factor in their success. However, itβs important to address the defensive vulnerabilities mentioned in the article. Head coach Luke Williams has called for increased proactivity and aggression without the ball, which is a valid point.

June, 6th 2023: Pride of Nottingham Announcement
We have to remember that the gaffer is modest and humble and doesnβt like too much praise, but I am delighted to see the site in such good shape and thriving even out of season. Normally, when @Chris goes on holiday the site goes quiet, but I think this time the forum kept itself active and lively, while he took care of the content. The site looks fantastic, and itβs getting better all the time.

Notts County goalkeeper Tiernan Brooks called up to Ireland U21 for Austria friendlies
I am pleased for Tiernan Brooks on his call-up to the Republic of Ireland U21 squad. He will be flying to Austria to play in three friendlies as part of the build-up for the UEFA U21 Euro qualifiers. Tiernan has been brilliant and reliable as a keeper, and we are chuffed to bits for him. We wish him all the best as he wears his countryβs colours and shows them what he can do on the big stage!

Will you still follow the National League?
Iβll check on it regularly, I donβt think itβs anything special but in a way, Iβll be following it. Iβm also hoping that Boreham Wood gets promoted.

Recruitment doc
What's your method of keeping track of the players @ARLukomski? I think you could do something similar to that other fan, Tom Williams, but more knowledge-based rather than opinion. I tend to jot down names of players I've seen play, as I believe seeing them in person is better than forming a text-based opinion, but everyone has their methods.

How Notts County can attract more young fans and grow their fan base?
Notts County have played in many different stadiums over the years, from the iconic Wembley to the humble Field Mill. Some of them have been memorable for the right reasons, such as the atmosphere, the facilities, the views, or the results. Others have been memorable for the wrong reasons, such as the poor conditions, the hostile fans, the bad location, or the defeats. In this forum post, we want to hear from you. What are the best and worst stadiums you have seen Notts County play in? How did they affect your experience of watching the Magpies? Share your opinions and stories with us and letβs compare notes.

Will Randall joins Notts County and praises Head Coach Luke Williams
Potentially, another Sam Austin type signing and I am excited about this signing. I do hope it doesn't mean we are parting ways with Aaron Nemane, but in either case we have Jodi Jones and now Will Randall.

The Icing on the Cake: Macaulay Langstaffβs Our Game Player of the Year Award
Langstaff has been a fantastic star this season, scoring stunning goals and providing endless pleasure to watch. He deserves all the recognition and more. Iβm amazed by his commitment to the Magpies.

Sam Slocombe cites "overall package" as reason for staying with Notts County
Iβm pleased that Sam is staying with us. Heβs one of the best keepers in the league and has shown his skill time after time. Heβs also a great teacher for the young lads and a true professional. I hope he can help us get back to where we belong.
-
Connell Rawlinson: "My heart will always be with Notts County"
What a legend! Rawlo deserves this new deal more than anyone. Heβs been a rock at the back for us and a leader on and off the pitch. Canβt wait to see him in action in League Two next season. Come on you Pies!

Where have they gone? Missing PON members we need back!
Iβve had periods where I wasnβt able to post as much due to other commitments in my life. I struggled with university and took my degree very seriously. I wasnβt always out partying and Leeds even paired me with a job. Hopefully, more members will come back when they have the time. We just need to keep doing what weβre doing, and more people should get involved. Thereβs no reason why we wonβt see more members joining in. The boss is doing his best, as are we members!

Notts goal of the season
If weβre talking about the quality of the goal itself and not the build-up, then simply put, Castro, Taylor and Bostock all stand out. Those are exceptional goals. Personally, I think the best is John Bostockβs effort against Wrexham. This is just my opinion, but I donβt see anyone else being awarded Goal of the Season. Not a player who has left or played for us on loan, but someone the fans will get behind. I fully expect this to go to Macaulay Langstaff.

Jodi Jones signs
Jodi Jones is an exceptional player with the ability to create and score goals out of thin air. He possesses a great deal of flair and creativity, and is capable of producing moments of magic on the pitch. During his loan spell, he was one of the best players in the league. The fact that he has now signed for Notts County permanently is a cause for great excitement.
