Haydn Hollis glad to be given fresh start under Jamie Fullarton

Joe Jones

Notts County defender Haydn Hollis has become the second member to speak out in favour of new manager Jamie Fullarton after being given a fresh start in the starting line-up.

The 23-year-old, who was in and out of the team under previous boss Ricardo Moniz, has now started the last two games for the Magpies and was rewarded with a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Crawley Town

"You've just got to accept that's how football can be sometimes," said Hollis.

"You can be doing really well, then find yourself out of the team. But it's a fresh start for me as it is for all the lads.

"I missed games, but when you are a professional footballer you have to stay mentally strong because you do get tested.

"You've just got to keep going. Hopefully I can now keep my place for the game against Wimbledon this weekend."
