Notts County manager John Sheridan has claimed that he is hoping to make more signings in the very near future following the acquisition of goalkeeper Adam Collin.
The former Newport County boss has admitted he is looking to strengthen all over the pitch, particularly in defence, but stressed the importance of competition within the squad.
Sheridan told the official website: "I want competition all over the pitch. I don't want anyone thinking they're an automatic choice, that's not the way to be.
"That's not the way I've worked with previous players and clubs. It's all about having competition for places as it will only make you better.
"You can only go so far and offer the deals. I've made offers and I'm positive and confident that one or two will come back.
"Hopefully over the next couple of days or week or so, we'll have a few new faces in."
