Colchester United would be securing a "double victory" this weekend should they get the better of Notts County, claims former U's midfielder Kemal Izzet.
John McGreal's men are 11th in the table and fourth points adrift of seventh-placed Coventry City, while the Magpies sit fifth in the table, six points clear of eighth place.
βThis weekendβs game is a massive one, as far as Iβm concerned,β Izzet, who currently manages Stanway Rovers, told the Gazette News.
βBeating Notts County would almost be like a double victory because theyβre another side up there in the table.
βColchester would take three points and, at the same time, stop their opponents adding to their tally.
βThey have to show up and be clinical - an area that let them down last weekend, apparently - and for me itβs make or break.
βIf they win, theyβll claw back one of their main rivals but if they lose it could be game over. I suspect that would be them done.β
