Kevin Nolan coy over Notts County, Wycombe Wanderers team selection

Joe Jones

Kevin Nolan has remained coy over whether he will make changes to the Notts County starting XI for Friday's big League Two promotion battle with Wycombe Wanderers.

The Magpies suffered a blow in their promotion ambitions at the weekend as Chesterfield ran out 3-1 winners at the Proact Stadium.

On Good Friday, fourth-placed Notts will be hoping to reduce the point gap - currently four points - between themselves and the third-placed Chairboys, and Nolan could be tempted to make changes.

“We have a good squad here and because of the quality of it, there are changes that can be made,” he told the Nottingham Post. “I’ll be discussing that this week.

“But these lads have been fantastic. Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture. They have been great and that’s why they are where they are.

“We are hoping now for a response and from what I’ve seen this season, I am pretty certain we will get one.”
