Kevin Nolan has urged Notts County to "right the wrongs" from the 3-1 loss to Chesterfield last week and get their League Two promotion tilt back on track against Wycombe Wanderers.

The Magpies lock horns with the Chairboys on Friday at Meadow Lane, a big League Two clash between the fourth-placed hosts and the third-placed visitors.

Nolan admits the last few days have been tough but says Notts have bounced back from bad results before and is confident the same will happen against Wycombe.

β€œIt’s been a tough few days because of the loss, but what this team has proven is their togetherness, will, character and fight,” he told the Nottingham Post.

β€œWe’ve have been good at responding and we’ve got to do that again.

β€œI am not one of those managers who because we’ve lost one game will start punishing players. If something needs to be done or said, it will be.

β€œWe don’t go day by day here. We do everything for a reason. People are quite quick to forget the success by doing what we have done with this squad.

β€œAnd the only excuse we had on Sunday is that we weren’t good enough. It’s now down to us to put right the wrongs.”
