Kevin Nolan claims Notts County are yet to hit their full potential this season, but is pleased that the last two games have been won despite this.

Following a poor 3-0 loss to Coventry City in the League Two season opener, the Magpies put in a solid performance in the League Cup against Scunthorpe United, only losing on penalties.

They then followed it up with victories over Chesterfield and Everton Under-21s, and Nolan believes there is more to come from his charges.

β€œI feel in the last two games we have been worthy winners despite not reaching the heights I know we can,” he told the Nottingham Post.

β€œIt’s still early days and we have to be patient with these lads. They all believe they can get better and they know can get better.

β€œThat’s a great thing to have when you are winning games and you’re not really hitting your maximum with the ball.

β€œWithout the ball we are getting better and that’s being proven and that’s why teams are finding it difficult to create chances against us."
