- Adam Yates will reportedly not have his Port Vale contract - which expires this month - renewed following reconstructive facial surgery after a freak collision with his own goalkeeper in a reserve game, although the Valiants will reportedly still continue to pay his medical bills.

- Dave Doggett has stepped down as chairman of Cambridge United after nearly five years in the role.

- Still with Cambridge, director Graham Daniels says head coach Shaun Derry will remain in charge of the team until at least the new year.

- Yet more Cambridge news as Derry confirmed that coach Mick Halsall has left the Abbey Stadium to join Coventry City.

- Coventry midfielder Callum Maycock has signed a new contract to stay with the League Two club until June 2020.

- Forest Green Rovers are about to submit new plans for a new ecological wooden stadium by the M5.

- Portsmouth defender Drew Talbot is reportedly in talks with Chesterfield over a return to the Proact Stadium.

- Coventry have signed Reading forward Josh Barrett on a loan deal until the end of the season.
