Richard Duffy has stressed that Notts County are not giving up the fight for automatic promotion from League Two.

The Magpies are three points behind the Chairboys - who take on Lincoln City at Sincil Bank tonight - in the race for a top-three spot.

Notts are hoping for a favour from the Imps, who will move back into the playoff positions themselves if they can overcome Gareth Ainsworth’s side, and Duffy commented on how he sees his side going forward.

β€œWe can’t give it up and at this stage of the season you don’t want to be throwing games away,” the Notts captain told the Nottingham Post.

β€œWe don’t want to be crawling into the playoffs, because the teams who have that momentum usually do well.

β€œBut Wycombe did their job on Saturday with a win at Yeovil but we’ve just got to win three games and hope they lose three. If that happens then we will see where that takes us.”
