and I am old enough to remember travelling on the train to and from London via Corby, Oakham, Melton Mowbray

 I'm still trying to picture the location, I keep thinking it's where the bus depot is in the Meadows.

It's the other end though, nearer the lady Bay Bridge.

I think it looked better before, I hate crossing anywhere near it! Too many cars speeding.

I've walked up there so many times, yet I wouldn't have guessed it in a million years going by the first pictures. Insane how streets can change, and sadly not usually for the better.

Did trains stop there? It would be handy today with travelling fans.
