The game is between two teams who have had heart-breaking experiences when dealing with the National League playoffs. For this reason, I believe the game will be tense until one side starts to dictate the tempo. Being at Meadow Lane, we as fans need to keep off the players' backs and just be a vocal support even if the game is difficult. Our part is to encourage, theirs is to react positively to the play and get the job done. With all the talk of Wembley, it's natural to get ahead and I understand the excitement it brings but the main factor is not to underestimate Boreham Wood on the day. League form always tends to go out of the window in games like this and the Notts players have to make sure they put in a good performance, end the match on a high and keep the faith going into that final outcome, whether it be the final or further heartbreak. This squad has a lot of quality and resilience.

I really want Notts to win! Bromley's always pushing other teams around and playing rough. They're super organised too, so Notts has to step up their game.

After watching the interviews today, I really hope we do it even more for the players and the staff, you can tell how much they want it, how much they’ve given for the cause. They deserve success this season just as much as the fans

Boreham Wood are difficult to play against. The officials are going to play a key part. If they stop Boreham Wood engaging in the dark arts, Notts will be half way to victory. Notts County are the better side but this a cup tie. Sunday can't come quickly enough.

Boreham Wood will be physical, if anyone caught their game against Barnet - you will know what to expect.

They're very dirty and sly at times, but when they're focusing on the actual football. You can't give them any space near to your own penalty box because they know how to punish teams. It's important Notts starts the game off with a patient approach to passing. I would instruct the players to get a feel for Boreham Wood, make them run around a bit at least for the first 20 minutes. If players like Arron Nemane, Adam Chicksen, Sam Austin, or Ruben Rodrigues can find openings to score or assist, it could calm everyone's nerves. I want to see the players fired up, but focused on winning the ball back as soon as possible.

I like what Luke Willaims has said in his message during the press conference.

He's right about singing and creating a special atmosphere, encouraging us to sing to chants to each of the players. It would be something that would ease our own nerves, as the party type spirit can lift and make you forget about how important the game is. We must demonstrate our belief in the team by promoting them back to the Football League this season. Keep in mind that during our League Cup match against Liverpool, many expressed negative opinions about our chances due to our position in League One.

I was one of the first few fans to start signing and I noticed how that lifted the players nerves. There was a very small group of us, maybe 6-7 but by time we had scored one back. It seemed a totally different game and it was such an amazing feeling.

We need this on Sunday, but the players need to be brave in defending and smart when it comes to pressing. If we can reduce any potential mistakes and just focus on playing football in a controlling narrative, it will see chances come for us.

We are far better than they are according to the league table, surely they can't stop us winning a third time this season? I can see Kelly-Evans picking up a red for a rash and mistimed tackle - let's hope we're ahead at that point so they don't pack the defence and play for penalties.

They have to be at the top of their game to beat us, and then only if we have players below par.

Like I said to a mate of mine. Put it to bed by HT. Put so much pressure on them they can't breathe.

Bang bang bang.

I’m excited for the upcoming National League playoff match between Notts County and Boreham Wood. It’s crucial that Notts County focuses on creating chances and avoids allowing Boreham Wood to force them to defend for extended periods on their home soil.

It’s likely that Notts County will press and cause trouble for Boreham Wood, but I hope this doesn’t lead to errors at the back. I’m particularly keen to see Jodi Jones start, as he has the ability to take the game to the opposition better than most of our players. Alongside him, Arron Nemane, Adam Chicksen and Ruben Rodrigues will also be key aspects of the team.

I believe Notts County has a good chance of winning the match, provided they maintain their focus on creating chances and avoiding defensive lapses. I’m excited to see how the team performs and hope for an entertaining and competitive game.

i think sunday would be the type of game where composure from all of the players is key, if notts scored early and lets say it lead to a 2-0 lead. its not exactly going to offer much relief knowing how mad playoff games can be. i mean, i would like it but boreham wood just have to score 1 and the games tipped on its head. its easy for a team to surge on to win like they did against barnet. i thought they did well with the limited chances, so its important notts just tries to reduce what clear efforts they get on goal and ensure good chances come to our players. i would love to see richard brindley return along side kyle cameron and aden baldwin.

Anticipation is increasing as Notts County prepares to face off against Boreham Wood in a playoff match at Meadow Lane. Notts County has won three, drawn one, and lost one of their last five games, while Boreham Wood has won three and lost two. This match is expected to be closely contested, with a lot on the line - a spot in the National League Playoff final.

Notts County's home advantage could play a critical role, as the support of the fans and familiarity with the surroundings at Meadow Lane can provide a massive boost. Playing in front of a vocal and large crowd is an advantage for Notts County, and the players are sure to appreciate the chants and backing from their supporters.

Ruben Rodrigues is the standout player for Notts County, with his clever direct passes and goal-scoring efforts. Macaualay Langstaff poses a significant threat on goal, while Sam Austin's work rate and fearlessness in taking on opposition teams are a bonus for the team. For Boreham Wood, Lee Ndlovu and David Agbontohoma will be key players to watch.

Notts County is expected to stick with their tried-and-tested 3-2-4-1 formation, with three defenders, two wing-backs, four midfielders, and one striker, while Boreham Wood might opt for a creative 4-3-3 that involves a forward dropping into midfield during defence. This match is poised to be an intriguing tactical battle between two equally matched teams.

The atmosphere at Meadow Lane is already electric ahead of the game. Notts fans may be nervous, but it's important to be in full support of the team by singing and making noise. Being loud and positive is crucial, as silence only adds to the nervousness. Let's back the lads and chant every possible minute.

This Sunday, Notts County will be facing off against Boreham Wood at Meadow Lane. Notts finished in the 2nd position in the league, while Boreham Wood secured the 6th spot. However, Boreham Wood managed to defeat Barnet, who finished 5th, in their playoff eliminator game. There are a couple of key players to keep an eye on in this match, including Matt Palmer, who maintains a composed demeanour and acts as a link between the defence and offence, and Ruben Rodrigues, who is well-known for his ability to unlock play, create opportunities, and take shots on goal.

Notts has a strong track record when playing at home, and with the game being broadcast on BT Sports and a sold-out crowd expected, fans are hoping for a solid performance. My prediction would be, 3-1 to Notts, with goals from Macaulay Langstaff (twice) and Adam Chicksen. This is certainly a match that is bound to be exciting!

Notts needs to win! Our players must stay focused and avoid being intimidated or struggling to play the ball forward. No silly cards - just focus on creating chances and putting away the good ones. They can do this!

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Sunday! Notts fans have earned a trip to Wembley. After being disappointed in the playoffs and with COVID causing disruptions, a win and a final away day would be a fantastic lift for all involved. Boreham Wood will no doubt have the same hopes, but I believe our squad is strong enough to emerge victorious.

If every Notts player puts in a good effort and works hard on Sunday, I am confident about the final outcome. The most important factor will be the officials. Notts can score goals, but it is important that the officials make the right decisions. If the game is well-officiated, I have no concerns. However, if the focus is on the officials rather than the game, it may be difficult for Notts to score. I hope it won't be like the Dagenham & Redbridge game.

I'm excited for the game, but I'm starting to feel anxious. When we lost to Swindon Town in League Two, I didn't think I could feel that emotional about another Notts game. But if Boreham Wood manages to win, it would be even worse. Some of the best moments I've experienced as a fan have been in the National League. I know it's not all bad, but I'm worried we might lose some key players if we miss out. I hope the players are focused and determined to avoid what happened against Dagenham & Redbridge and Wrexham. I won't turn on the players and will support them no matter what.

I’ll be present as usual. This is one of the biggest must-win games in a while, but it’s not among the top five most important games in my lifetime. However, if we defeat Boreham Wood, the next game might just make it to the list. I’m not sure what to expect from them; they seem to be a capable team and don’t seem to fear being under pressure for long periods. I’d like to predict a Notts win, but I think it’ll be tough. If it were a league game, I’d predict a draw.

Although I am not religious, like other Notts fans, I will be praying more come Sunday. The 12:30 kick-off on a Sunday is unusual and I hope it doesn’t distract the players. I am sure they will be fine, but this isn’t just a training game - it could add to an already great season and make it even better! I predict a 2-0 win, but it won’t be plain sailing at all.

I hope the officials perform well. The National League should have made decisions based on their performances, but even then, things can go wrong. It's challenging for them to make all the right calls. I just hope they make any important ones carefully.

This is a one chance game for both sides aiming to get to Wembley for another one chance game. All I can say in addition to the above posts is for fans to remain patient and  keep behind Notts however they are playing. Encouragement not criticism.

I'm sorry to start this off in such a way, but I always feel as if Notts do better when they're considered the underdogs.

Notts won't be; Boreham Wood are.

It's a blessing that it's at home, but just remember that smart teams can sense when fans want blood and hearing comments directed at players for either a simple mistake or whatever is enough to make any opposition team play on it.

Notts fans need to do their best to stay positive no matter what. This isn't a roll of the dice but a gamble which is unfair to a squad that has finished 2nd, scored over 100 goals and earned more than 100 points.

Remember, nerves can hit anyone no matter what their profession. Stick together and be the 12th person on the pitch. With all this said, I feel my nerves slightly relaxing, but I don't stop feeling like my heart is in my mouth until the game is over. Notts has some very, very classy players at this level and depth that any team could inly dream of having right now in these circumstances. They will do us proud, no matter what.

I can imagine bow this conversation went.

BW: We need an emergency goalkeeper.

National League: Of course. Ask Wrexham for Ben Foster. We want you to have the best to beat Notts County. We need to keep them in the NL.

BW: How about Joe McConnell? He's arguably the best keeper in the league.

NL: Approved. We'll have a word with the officials as well. Something tells us ye are going to be celebrating Sunday afternoon......

"Interesting" decision there @Dripsey3, especially as Ashmore played the full 90 minutes on Tuesday. But I'd rather have Slocombe in goal than McDonnell, he never filled me with confidence.

An hour to go and I'm proper nervous. There's a tendency to overanalyse games like this. We've just got to outscore the opposition, so let's get on the score sheet nice and early and take charge of this match. COYP.

What a roller coaster of emotion. 2 down at half time. Instant response. McDonnell saves a penalty. Baldwin rescues it at the death. 2 tired teams. Nemane makes a crucial clearance and right at the end, Jones wins it. Incredible. See ye at Wembley. I took advantage of the early bird offer, best decision I have made in a while!
