Posted January 24, 201411 yr #1 Put on the TV tonight to watch Gladbach vs. Bayern at Borussia-Park 7.30 KO our time. Gladbach 8 wins and 1 draw at home this season face the season-long unbeaten Bayern without Schweinsteiger and Martinez (and possibly Ribery). Keep an eye on Borussia's attacking quartet of Kruse, Hermann, Arango and Rafael, and in defensive midfield Granit Xhaka who had more touches of the ball than anyother player in the Bundesliga in the first half of the season. FCB's record in Moenchengladbach is not very good over the years, so here's hoping for another Borussia victory.. All together now (to the tune of Yellow Submarine): Zieht den Bayern die Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen ausZieht den Bayern die Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus, Lederhosen aus
January 24, 201411 yr #2 I have to admit I have as much interest in German football as I do shoes. You'll have to forgive me, is this their cup?
January 24, 201411 yr Author #4 I have to admit I have as much interest in German football as I do shoes. You'll have to forgive me, is this their cup?No - first league game of the second half of the season after the winter break. You'll have to come with me and Thomas to a game, great atmosphere, cheaper than Meadow Lane and they bring the beer to you in your seat while you are watching the match!
January 24, 201411 yr Author #5 im about the same but i think bm will win them comfortably. BM? - which one? Borussia Moenchengladbach vs. Bayern Munchen
January 24, 201411 yr #7 I don't follow German football but I do admire it. It's no perfect (i.e. being dominated by 1 or 2 big teams), but the model of the club ownership, ticket prices and standing areas make it something that we can try an work towards (in our dreams)
January 24, 201411 yr #8 I used to go to watch Schalke when in the Army in Germany and saw some great games including their derbys against Dortmund (Schalke is basically a district of Dortmund). 70,000 in the old Park Stadium standing up with the Schalke Ultras on the Nordkurve (their Kop). However obviously not as good as Notts v Accrington Stanley.........honest! Konigsblau S Nul Vier! Sorry I mean COYP!
January 24, 201411 yr #9 Dont really follow German football. To tell the truth the only non-English football I follow myself is Serie A for obvious reasons, and the Northern Irish premiership. Irish League cup final tommorow between Cliftonville and Crusaders!
January 24, 201411 yr #10 Just realized this game is on BT Sports 2 Anyone else going to give this a watch?
January 24, 201411 yr #11 I'm a massive German football fan. The football is really different, more build up play and not so end to end, but still very enjoyable. The massive plus is you have terrace areas and you can drink beer in the stands. If you don't want to stand, there is seated areas obviously. It's not a massive suprise that their atmosphere is excellent. It makes a mockery about the health and safety freaks here in the UK. My team is DSC Arminia Bielefeld, who I had the pleasure of watching over 2 seasons. Here's a little taste of the atmosphere against local rivals Paderborn.. >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MelcYxcGAgQ

Kruse is a dirty little cheat.I've unfortunately been watching games he's played in since he first came into the Queensland Roar team, and he was a diver then.I thought when he came to German football it would change, it didn't.Horrible player.
