Following on from our vital win against Doncaster and a confidence boosting clean sheet combined with another very good display from the lads, I would continue with the same team against the Shrimps and look for another similar performance.

Morecambe will provide a much tougher opposition on Friday than Doncaster and we will need to be on our guard defensively for the 100 possible minutes.

Macaulay has got his goal today, so he will feel much better for that after his 4 match goal draught, so in attack, we just need to keep doing what we are doing. Our goal total stands on 48 in the league, so Notts have proved that time and time again that attacking is not our problem.

I'm predicting a 2:1 win against a very organised Morecambe side.

I’m much more optimistic that Notts can secure a win against Morecambe. If fatigue doesn’t factor into the match, I firmly believe the home support can contribute to achieving the result we all desire. The main thing is to continue playing well.

Agree with you @Countyman

No game in league 2 is easy, however we have a great opportunity to win our next 4 matches before we meet Stockport at home.

i know, it might come across as i am expecting it but i want to say i am more hopeful that we can secure back to back wins. it would go along way to u turning the poor form we found, whilst giving everyone something less to worry about. i think morecambe will want to make a game of it but i have the faith that if we perform well enough a good result will come.

try to avoid changes where possible, yes some of the players may be tired from the boxing day game but i think we have more than enough within the squad to rely less on what we have on the bench.

consistency right now could be the thing to bring better form within the new year.

Fatigue is a worry for me too with my own team but don't forget it also applies to the opposition.I hope both my teams can continue on to the new year full of positivity.

It will be a tougher game today but I`m confident in our team`s ability. We look way more dominant in possession in our last two fixtures. It will be interesting to see if there will be any changes and how that would effect the team.

What can you say about Macaulay Langstaff? A beautiful hat trick tonight including a penalty.

All in all it's been a great night for Notts now only 4 points behind second place, we stand in 5th place on 42 points.

I missed the first half, which was probably why it was so great :D but that's a fantastic result. Doncaster and Morecambe might not be the best the division has to offer, but you can only beat what's in front of you, and we've done it in style. It was so important to string a couple of results together, and the clean sheets are the cherry on the cake.

8 goals for 0 conceded in two games. Just what the Doctor ordered.

That’s a great result, Notts were awesome especially in the first half and those who said Langstaff wouldn’t cut the mustard in the league can eat their words, he’s now on 18 goals mid way through the season.

We’ve had our wobble now we’re back on full throttle, keep it up lads. 👏

The attendance against Morecambe was 9,786 including 179 away supporters. A great turnout for a night match against a mid table side.

That was as about impressive as I’ve seen us and I wouldn’t say Morecambe are particularly bad side either, probably finish mid-table, but we just absolutely tore them apart.

We’ve got that swagger and confidence back now, it’s back to possession with a purpose and we’ve adapted to losing Matty Palmer by basically rotating Crowley, Austin, Langstaff and McGoldrick to drop deep and take the ball. The Langstaff contract was a masterstroke, I wonder if it hadn’t had happened how many clubs come January would have been putting in bids? 18 goals in half a season is insane and I think he’ll be looking to get to 30 this season. Everyone played well, Crowley just doesn’t know how to give the ball away, Austin kept popping up between the lines, McGoldrick looked like a Premiership player, JJ too hot to handle as usual and we dominated so much the defence didn't really need to defend!

The rotations, the movements of our players were just superb. Forget the rumours about LW and Swansea, keep playing like that and Barcelona will be after him!
