If Burnley are getting €12 million that's a good deal for Burnley.

Wondering why a top German Club would go for a Manager that has only won the Championship League title, in the English 2nd tier, then got relegated the next season.

His great reputation as a player, where he spent 11 years at Man City where he won trophies, & played 89 times for Belgium might have played a part here.

Bayern could be taking a big gamble here, but good luck to Vincent. I hope it works out well for him.

So it's happened then. Vincent goes to Bayern Munich as Head Coach.

This appointment is totally out of leftfield. Kompany played in the Bundesliga for several years and was well known as a player, but so too were many others. I know they'd been knocked back by many candidates, but I expected them to give someone like Sebastian Hoeness a go, or maybe someone from the merry-go-round like Pocchetino.

Good luck to the bloke, but there is zero tolerance of failure at Bayern. Lose two games and your job is on the line. They're becoming more and more like Chelsea.

@DangerousSausage I think he's been appointed due to his reputation as a player, he won the Championship with Burnley but that is a far cry from a Club with the status of Bayern.

Like you said I hope it works out for him too, & I'm sure he's on big money, but Bayern will expect results quickly & be up their challenging for the league title again.

Wonder why the Club didn't go for someone with more stature?
