Do you Remember the Famous Piano Sketch with Morecombe & Wise and Andre Previn?

Where Eric Grabbed Andre  by the Collar of his Jacket and said this Famous Line.

I'm Playing All The Right Notes, But Not Necessarily In The Right Order.

Well Today my Eldest Son showed me a Photo, which is on X (I think)

In which Gareth Southgate has Replaced Eric and Line Reads

I'm Playing All The Right Players, But Not Necessarily In The Right Positions.

I really am hoping one of my Fellow PON Members can find it and Post it on Here. I can't I'm afraid I'm Not On X.

@Chris

This is a Very Funny Clip. I Love Morecambe & Wise. I remember their Brilliant Christmas shows in the 70's and all the Plays Wot Ernie Wrote. One of the classic lines from a Play

They Walked Arm in Arm along the Seine He on the Left Bank, She on the Right.

Or when a special Guest appeared in their Flat Ernie would ask would You Like A Coffee?

And the Answer Would be I'd Sooner Have Tea Ern. And Eric would Just Crack Up. Seen it a Million Times and Laughed a Million Times.

Controversial, I know. I never really found them to be all that funny. Eric Morecambe is brilliant, but I much prefer the Two Ronnie's and even Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse.

A few years ago, I did watch a TV film they did where they went on holiday. I think it was to Torquay, I quite enjoyed watching it, but it wasn't for the laughs. More nostalgia, which makes me sound older than I am. I love things like the Carry On films, but for some reason I just don't take to Morecambe and Wise. They'll always be comedy greats; I don't dispute that, but I just don't find their sketches all that amusing.

Each to their Own Eh?  I'm also a Big Fan of the Two Ronnie's and to go back even further I also like Laurel & Hardy. And the Abbot & Castello who's on First Sketch is Comedy Gold. Harry and Paul also very Funny. I used to Enjoy Harry and Kathy Burke as Wayne and Waynetta Slob.

Exactly. 👍🏻

The scousers used to make me laugh, plus Harry Enfield as the father who had a son who visited home with his boyfriend - not very PC now, but it's funny. Oh, and Paul's skits of football.

@Chris

What about the Sketch were Paul Whitehouse is the Team Manager and Gives the Half Time Team Talk? Very Very Funny.

Where's the Bloke Love? Could You Imagine That on MOTD? It would be Totally Brilliant.

All Right, All Right Calm Down Calm Down.  We a had Scouser  Mick who worked with Us  and two Blokes got into a Bit of  an Argy Bargy and He said that phrase (without realizing He'd said It.) Everybody in Ear Shot just Collapsed into Gales of Laughter, Even the two Blokes forgot their Argument. No Work was Done for a Full 20 minutes, even the Team Leader who came round to see what all the Noise was about , joined in with the Laughter while Mick just stood there wondering was Hell was up with Everybody. Until somebody managed to Stop Laughing Long Enough to tell him what he'd said.

Have we stopped laughing yet?

Here's a classic clip from the Goodies. Used to have me & my Dad in stitches.
