Queen's Walk always used to look like a nice place to wonder, but my Grandfather would say it was dangerous and occupied by certain people. There's some really nice areas to explore in Nottingham; there are a few places in the Meadows where I like to have walks.

When I was 16 we used to live on Cambria Street which was off Cranmer Street, I used to walk my beloved dog called Skip on Elm Avenue, sadly Skip died of distemper because we couldn’t afford the inoculation. I’ve never had a dog since.

My great aunt used to live on Villa Road, by Elm Avenue. She worked for an antiques dealer

My grand mother echoed what your grandfather has said re Queens Walk.  I recall seeing the zip wire from the Clifton buses thinking that looks like fun... but I always respected by grand parents advice on perceived "no go" areas

There are some lovely places to stroll around. Sadly, people tend to concentrate on parks and other public spaces. Some areas that should be safe for walking don’t appear to be, which is unfortunate.

@Fan of Big Tone my grandma had a dog like the one in your photo, he would always get excited as family members approached her property well before the door and would try to get everyone to take him for a walk. lovely dog. that is a nice picture, tony!

I can still vividly remember the blast furnaces at Corby...and the Co Op milk float depot as the train swung into Nottingham Midland station

I used to walk under the pedestrian bridge on the right every morning to go to school which was on London Road, I remember there’d always be a swarm of midges in summer and we had to hold our breath before going through what seemed like a tunnel to me then.

I wouldn't mind being able to canoe around the city centre, I could use the paddle as a 2-metre distance marker when people tried walking past on their phones, totally oblivious to the fact they are knee-deep in water.
