Over workplace conduct, I wonder what he’s been up to.

 

Never liked Jenas. 

i have read stories that mentioned inappropriate texts, which could be anything but my first thought were along the lines of alan hardy. i hope its not the case. i dont know why you would bully or be mean to someone via text. it seems more likely serious than that.

He’s biased as a pundit, but I didn’t mind him on The One Show. He seemed quite friendly and comfortable in the role. He’s mentioned seeking legal advice, but it’s just drama without the facts.

It does sound like it's a bit ***-for-tat to be honest.

I have read some things and with my work place having covered the story, to me, it seems more like someone from the BBC wanted to rid of Jermaine Jenas. Although he has confessed to sending inappropriate texts, he maintains that none of them were illegal. This doesn't mean he was in the right to send the texts and I have heard rumours of him being flirty.

Jenas might be treated unfairly by the media. His actions should stay private unless people complain. The BBC is trying too hard to be transparent. It might not be as simple as the media says. It’s probably nothing, but time will tell if anything becomes public.

He’s a bit smug at times. I don’t like him as a pundit either, but I could watch him hosting or as a presenter, despite there being better people for those jobs. I don’t want to comment on his sacking.

This story is getting boring. The media and people on social media are making it unbearable. He has been fired. We will get more information, but it's not a big story without all the facts.

It always gets blown way out of proportion. The BBC are acting like children when they sack people. They make it a big story, but they are the ones making that decision, so it's hard to believe them.

I don't really know what to make of it all. I have enjoyed seeing Jermaine Jenas, on the "One Show" myself. As for Match of the Day, he does tend to be biased especially towards Spurs. Internationals and non-related games, he can be okay, just not when a previous club is involved. I also get the comments about him being smug, he can be, but his appearances on the One Show made him come across much better.

As for the "incident texts", god knows.

The BBC are very quick to take complaints seriously these days, and they do have the horrible habit of making them into a storm in a tea cup.

Personally, I felt surprised when I learned that Jenas had been sacked.

hes now come out apologising, saying he thought his text were between consensual adults. it looks like he has been acting flirty and again, sounds like ah stuff without twitter. ????

Yes, it seems like he has been exchanging naughty messages. But I believe he thought it was consensual. It sounds like a bit of a sting. The accusers may be trying to get more than Jermaine Jenas sacked.

I don’t mind him, but this all sounds like unnecessary drama. I don’t know what messages he’s sent, but it sounds like there’s been a lot of back-and-forth.

The BBC could have handled it better, but it was the right decision to let him go. I hope the Jenas story goes away now.

He’s been very silly. These days you can’t trust anyone and should keep certain things to yourself. He should know this from being an ex-footballer.
