  • I don't think we need to change much from the previous, hopefully, this will reflect in Stuart Maynard's starting XI. Nick Tsaroulla has looked good ahead of Adam Chicksen, who for me hasn't been

I am cautious of teams that desperately need a win. Swindon are in that exact situation, and so far, things have gone mostly in our favour. I think the game could unfold similarly to the Fleetwood mat

  • Looking forward to the match. Notts need to carry on with the form they showed from the Grimsby match into the Swindon game. Showing good consistency is the key to success. The team that pla

Swindon have had the best of it. Improvement needed from Notts in the 2nd half.

This is a great win for Notts and just what Didzy needed to do, i.e. put himself in the frame for a start next game.

Great win, well done to the boys.

Two goals created by class. DiDZY the match winner today. Two goals out of nothing.

Goal conceded to another misplaced pass in the first half.

I must say our defence did hold firm in that 2nd half.

Notts not at their best today, but I think that was a massive defensive performance that Stuart will be really pleased with.

First smash and grab I've seen from Notts in a long time.

That's a grinding result with plenty of character.

This is a perfect opportunity for McGoldrick to claim a permanent place in the starting line up, I hope he does well and gives Maynard a difficult decision for the next match.

Well I think I called that right, I’m so pleased for McGoldrick.

Brilliant. Promotion contenders find a way to win even when things don't quite go to plan. Last season we didn't win many of those "smash and grab" points because we were just too easy to score against. I only saw the end of the game but a win is a win!

The winning moment today.

Notts just 2 points off top spot in 7th place.

Notts put in a solid performance against Swindon Town. After conceding an early goal, the team remained composed and continued to press forward. David McGoldrick demonstrated his value to the squad once again. While he may not be suited to every match, his persistence and ability to contribute goals are invaluable assets.

Defensively, Notts performed admirably. Swindon Town presented a tough challenge, but the team's defensive efforts were commendable. Alex Bass, in particular, was outstanding in goal. His consistent performances suggest that he could be a key player in helping Forest achieve promotion to League One.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

The 2nd McGoldrick goal was the first shot we had in that second half, we barely got out of our half by the sounds of it! But at least we defended well, clearly they deserve credit after being under the cosh for periods of that game. Bass sounded very commanding again, I think he’s made a massive difference. I’ll be interested to hear from those who went/watched it if we were as ropey as it sounded 2nd half in particular or were Swindon just not very good... We’re not going to win every game playing total football so it’s a great result, that's the kind of game we'd have lost last season.

Today's victory was a solid win. It's great to secure a win away from home so early in the season. David McGoldrick once again demonstrated his experience and ability to turn games around with his two excellent goals. I'm pleased with the win.
